Welcome to Abodes on Oak—the ultimate family getaway in Michigan City! 🏡✨ Two homes on one lot offer space for up to 12 guests: a spacious main house (sleeps 9) plus a cozy studio (sleeps 3). Enjoy foosball, board games, a bubblegum machine, firepit nights, and smart TVs, or head to nearby attractions like Indiana Dunes National Park, Blue Chip Casino, Washington Park Zoo, wineries, and outlet malls. Fully stocked kitchens and comfy bedrooms make relaxing easy! The space 🛏️ Sleeping Arrangements Main House (Sleeps 9): --Master Bedroom: 1 King Bed (2 guests) + 1 Futon (1 guest) --Queen Bedroom: 1 Queen Bed (2 guests) --Trundle Bedroom: Twin Trundle Bed (2 guests) --Living Room: Queen Pull-Out Sofa (2 guests) Studio (Sleeps 3): --King Bed (2 guests) --Twin Sofa Sleeper (1 child) Bathrooms 🛀 There are three bathrooms between the two homes: --Main house en-suite master bathroom: A small bathroom with a stand-up shower --Main house bathroom with a tub --Studio Bathroom: A very small bathroom with a step–those with mobility concerns may not be comfortable here, and we recommend those guests stay in the main house. 🍳 Kitchen & Dining Both homes come with fully equipped kitchens featuring: ✅ Refrigerator & Freezer ✅ Stove, Oven & Microwave ✅ Basic Cookware, Utensils, Plates & Cups ✅ Toaster, Blender & Drip Coffee Maker (Coffee, creamer & sweetener included. If you prefer specific brands, please feel free to bring your own!) ✅ Basic Pantry Essentials (cooking oil, salt & pepper. If you prefer specific types of cooking oil/specific brands, please feel free to bring your own!) 🪄 Gather around the dining tables for home-cooked meals or drinks at the kitchen bar! ⚠️ Note: There is no dishwasher in either home. We do ask that guests wash and return their dishes. 🎮 Entertainment & Amenities --Foosball Table (main house basement – mind the low ceiling) --Board Games & Bubblegum Machine 🎲🍬 --Smart TVs in living areas + master bedroom + studio --High-Speed WiFi (100+ Mbps) --Washer & Dryer (main house basement, available for both homes to use) --Hair Dryer, Iron & Small Ironing Board --Turkish Beach Towels (1 per guest) & Beach Toys Provided 🌿 Outdoor Space Step outside and enjoy: 🔥 Firepit with 12 Adirondack Chairs (bring your own firewood, or purchase nearby) 🌳 Fenced Backyard – note that neighbors’ dogs may bark at first, but typically taper off with time! 🚗 Parking for up to 6 Vehicles (Up to 4 spots in front, 2 beside studio) ⚠️ Safety, Accessibility Notes, & House Rules --Homes are NOT baby-proofed (no outlet covers, no cabinet locks, furniture is not secured to walls, no cribs provided, etc). Guests are responsible for their safety. --Low ceilings/headers in some areas of the main house – taller guests, please watch your head. --The studio is compact with a small bathroom step; this is not ideal/suitable for guests with mobility concerns. --No pets, parties, or events – we value the relationship with our neighbors, and strive to keep the home in top condition. ⏰ Check-In / Check-Out --Check-In: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM --Check-Out: 10:00 AM --Note: We always try to provide early check-in and late check-out opportunities when possible. (It is simply dependent on whether or not it’s a same day check-in/out, the condition in which the previous guest left the home, and our cleaners’ schedules.) Please notify us if you would like early/late check-in/out, and we will do our best to make it work! 🕚 --Guests will receive key code & detailed check-in instructions via message on the morning of arrival. --Michigan City operates on Central Standard Time (CST). 🛡️ Booking Requirements We’re excited to welcome guests from all backgrounds and want to make sure every stay is enjoyable, safe, and comfortable for both you and our neighbors. To help us maintain a great experience, we ask that: --The primary renter is 25+ with a verified government ID. --Guests have positive prior reviews, or if not, a fully refundable $500 damage deposit hold will be required. This is an authorization hold only (not a charge) and is released at checkout once our team confirms the home is in good condition. 💸 Discounts & Policies --Moderate cancellation policy. --Returning guests and longer stays may qualify for discounts (message us before booking!).
