The Fireweed Cabin is located just a few miles from the beginning of beautiful Hatcher Pass, Alaska. Here you can get away and decompress from the day to day life and relax in comfort. We offer 2 nice loveseats to enjoy with a good book, watch your favorite TV show, or take a well deserved nap on the queen bed. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee or tea, Cook the perfect meal in the fully furnished kitchen. Being 15 min. from Palmer and Hatcher pass rec. area, there are endless adventures to experience. The space This two story guest house is tucked back on our five acres in a quiet sprawling neighborhood in Hatcher Pass. There is a spacious, lit parking area, with a nice path to the front door, a small charcoal BBQ, and a small yard area. Downstairs you will experience a completely furnished kitchen, a small dining table, washer and dryer, a full size bathroom with a bathtub/shower, a sofa bed, and a natural gas free standing fireplace. Upstairs is the cozy bedroom with a soft touch. Dim the lights and enjoy a comfy queen bed with pillows, soft linens, and a warm comforter. Or curl up on the cozy couch in front of the 50" Roku t.v. with wi-fi. There is a 4 drawer dresser and small hanging rack to store your clother while you stay. As well as a small desk amd chair for those times work might have to come with you. Guest access You will have the entire guest house to yourself except under the stairs where we store our supplies and cleaning stuff. There is a small grassy yard designated for guests and a larger area that is shared with us. In the summer there is an outside table with chairs and year round charcoal BBQ and smokeless fire pit. Please bring your own Charcoal and lighter fluid. We DO supply some wood and fire starter for the firepit. Other things to note -The upstairs has a single slant ceiling with low head clearance at the top of the stairs. -There is a small BBQ grill with utensils. We do not supply charcoal or lighter fluid. - We have a fire pit (solo stove, low smoke style). we supply wood and fire starter. Please do not cut wood from the property. - This is a no pets allowed house.
