The space is simple, functional, thoughtful, clean and carefully decorated from the galleries in Thomas. The space This apartment was renovated top to bottom and finished in 2022. It’s simplicity and charm is designed to inspire anyone who uses it. This apartment is in an over 100 year old building and holds the character of such. Folks seeking a highly polished vacation rental, THIS ISN'T FOR YOU. People looking for beautiful creative location in the heart of the town of Thomas, this is where it's at. Enjoy this private apartment for it’s accessibility, vibe, high-speed wifi, comfortable queen sized bed, with high quality cloud mattress, on demand hot water, complimentary coffee (french press!) and uniquely crafted full kitchen. The apartment is located in the back of the Benedetto Building above both Bloom and Creature, two gems of the art scene here in Thomas. There is no air-conditioning in this unit! We will provide you a fan during the summer months. Typically Thomas is very mild. Apart from having the offerings of Front Street, Thomas at your fingertips, you're literally steps from the rail trail which leads you into the Monongahela National Forest which leads down into an Appalachian canyon trail. A five minute drive will put you squarely in the town of Davis which boasts its own charm of breweries and restaurants. Please note that this space is above a business and below a tenant. For that reason, you will hear music from below during business hours and occasionally the tenant above. The 100 year old building itself is fairly noise permeable. While this unit is a stand alone, newly finished, private and insulated, think of it more as tenement building lodging. Additionally, our long term residents are artists, musicians and our friends. They have patios, gatherings, music making sessions and the occasional porch talk lasting into the wee hours of the morning. Some of our long term residents keep late hours regularly while others have families with young children. That being said, we have a respectful community and these varying schedules means that during the late hours, folks try their best to not keep anyone up. And of course, we ask the same of our guests. Please consider this when booking. If you are sensitive to noise or a light sleeper this may not be the unit for you. Folks seeking a highly polished vacation rental with TV’s, this isn't for you. This place is designed for those looking to make dinners or walk to restaurants, while being a launching pad to explore Thomas and it’s surroundings. Guest access KITCHEN It is equipped with an oven, microwave, French press & grinder, and some basic essentials. We do not stock it with any food or drink apart from coffee. PRICING The price is as low as we can have it to keep offering the space as an airbnb while giving a good wage to our friends who maintain the cleanliness of the space. LOUDNESS There is a business below the unit which plays music throughout the day. You will likely hear it. There is also a tenant above, and you may hear them from time to time. OTHER THINGS We don't allow pets. There is no air-conditioning in this unit! We will provide you a fan during the summer months. Typically Thomas is very mild. This is is not a spot to party. You'll have neighbors beside and under you, and we have quiet hours after 11pm. US Cellular service works best. AT&T is good too with some spotty sections. Most other cell services have spotty service. There is no TV There is a guidebook for what to see and do when you are here!
