At the end of the day roast marshmallows or sip a glass of wine in the large fire pit area out back. If you desire to eat your meals on property we offer a Blackstone griddle on the backyard deck, and plenty of seating at the table. Near Michaux State Forest, Pine Grove Furnace State Park, Caledonia State Park and a few miles to the halfway point of the Appalachian Trail. Loads of hiking, mountain biking, ATV and snow mobile trails. About a 20 minute drive to downtown Gettysburg, 30 minutes to Carlisle. Ski Liberty Mountain in Fairfield is about a 30 minute drive and Ski Roundtop Mountain in Lewisberry is a 50 minute drive. 3 Queen Size Beds - Cozy Earth Bamboo Sheets & Cotton Sheets by Threshold. *The downstairs bedroom does not have a door to close or a curtain. It sits behind the staircase (see pictures) *Upstairs bedrooms - there is a door at the top of the steep staircase and a door between the rooms. To access the back bedroom guest must walk through the bedroom in the front. *Due to the steep staircase we do not accept guests younger than 12 years of age. Due to severe allergies we do not accept pets of any kind. There are many pet friendly accommodations in the area. Full bathroom with shower (no tub) Guest access Guests have access to the entire home, the large backyard decks for outdoor dining, the hammock, the fire pit area for s’mores, and the swing and bench down by Mountain Creek at the edge of the property. These spaces are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful, natural surroundings. Please note: We do have full-time neighbors on our private road and ask that guests respect quiet hours and the tranquility of the area. This is not a property for parties, fireworks, or disruptive gatherings. We do not accept children under 12 years of age due to the steep staircase. Other things to note Please note: For safety reasons, the cabin is not suitable for children under 12 due to a steep staircase. While we do have WiFi at the cabin, it can be spotty at times as we are in the forest. Cell phone coverage is limited around the area. Due to severe allergies we do not accept pets of any kind.
