This cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bath cottage comfortably accommodates up to 5 guests and features vaulted ceilings, warm hickory hardwood floors, and a charming loft with a Twin XL platform bed. The living room includes a full-size sleeper sofa, making it perfect for couples, small families, or friends traveling together. The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, and everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. The spacious bathroom features modern tile, a large vanity, and a walk-in shower. Step outside onto your private deck, complete with a grill, and enjoy your morning coffee or evening dinner in a peaceful outdoor setting. Shared Property Amenities Guests of Herons Nest Boutique Cottages also have access to several shared outdoor amenities, including: * Fire pit for relaxing evenings under the stars * Two pergolas with porch swings * Sand volleyball/badminton court * Spacious green space for gathering and outdoor games * Complimentary on-site parking Lake Access Paw Paw Lake is located just across the street from the property. While Herons Nest is not a lakefront property, guests can access the shoreline through a narrow public fire lane. Please note that this access is not ideal for swimming, launching kayaks or paddleboards, or spending the day by the water, as there is no private beach, dock, or designated lounging area. For the best lake experience, we recommend visiting Forest Beach Park or Sunset Park, both just a short drive away. These public access areas are great for swimming, launching kayaks or paddleboards, and enjoying everything Paw Paw Lake has to offer. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a peaceful retreat, Erie offers a comfortable home base for exploring Southwest Michigan’s lakes, wineries, beaches, restaurants, and charming small towns. Guest Verification Important: Before your arrival, you will be asked to complete guest verification through our trusted third-party partner, Truvi. This process helps us comply with short-term rental regulations while providing added protection for both our guests and our property. Truvi will contact you by email and/or text with simple instructions. We kindly ask that you complete the verification before your arrival to ensure a smooth and seamless check-in. As part of the verification process, you’ll be able to choose between: * A refundable security deposit, or * A non-refundable damage waiver. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests. To ensure that all our guests have a pleasant and enjoyable stay, we kindly ask that you observe the following rules: 1. NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottage and within the building's premises. If you need to smoke, please do so outside the building, and dispose of your cigarette butts properly. 2. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS: Our cottage is located in a residential area, and we ask that you respect our neighbors' privacy and keep noise levels to a minimum. Please refrain from hosting parties or events that could disturb other guests or neighbors. 3. NO PETS: Unfortunately, we cannot allow pets in our cottage due to potential allergy concerns and damage to the property. 4. LATE CHECK-OUT ($50 Fee): Our check-out time is 11:00 AM. We kindly ask that you adhere to this time to ensure that our cleaning staff has sufficient time to prepare the cottage for the next guest. Late checkout past 11:00 AM will result in a $50 fee. 5. NO EXCESSIVE GUESTS ($50 Per Guest): The maximum number of guests allowed in the cottage is 4, including children. Excessive guests will result in a $50 fee per guest. 6. RESPECT THE PROPERTY: We kindly ask that you respect our cottage and its contents. Please refrain from moving or rearranging furniture and report any damage or issues to us immediately. 7. NO GLITTER: Please don’t use glitter for decorations or for any other reason. 8. We do have RING camera’s outdoors. Thank you for taking the time to review our house rules.
