Shared amenities may be used by registered guests staying in any of the residences. Other things to note 🔑 Check-in instructions will be sent 24 hours before arrival. 🐾 Dogs: Dog-friendly for an additional fee of $50 USD / Q385 per pet, per stay. Please add your pet to the reservation. 🧺 Laundry: Paid laundry service is available for Q60 per load. Laundry is handled separately; there is no washer or dryer inside Vela. 🚗 Parking: One assigned parking space is included. On-site parking is best suited for smaller vehicles; larger or additional vehicles may require nearby parking. 🪜 Hillside property: Casa Verapaz is built into the hillside above Lake Atitlán. Access to some shared areas, including the pool and lakeshore, involves outdoor paths and multiple flights of stairs. Guests with mobility concerns should review this carefully before booking to make sure the property is a good fit for their group. 🏊 Pool & jacuzzi: The shared pool is unheated. The shared jacuzzi is heated on request. 🌊 Lake access: Casa Verapaz has natural lake access, not a beach-style swimming area. 🎥 Security: Exterior security cameras monitor designated entrances and common access areas. They record video only, not audio. There are no cameras inside residences or private guest spaces. 🎆 Village life: Casa Verapaz is part of a living community. You may occasionally hear church bells, religious services and music, dogs, boats, fireworks or local celebrations. Fireworks can sometimes occur early in the morning. 🚫 Registered guests only: Casa Verapaz is private property. Only registered overnight guests may enter or use the pool, jacuzzi, gardens and lake access. Outside visitors are not permitted.
