Every Offshore Breeze property is built around the same promise: a well-equipped, comfortable, clean, and safe space for making memories, with nothing left to chance before you arrive. The Location The community's exclusive beach puts the Cedar Point skyline directly in your sightline — you can watch the coasters from your beach chair. The park itself is about 15 minutes away via the scenic old back causeway. Cedar Point Sports Center is roughly 12 minutes out, Kalahari about 15. Both Vermilion and Huron offer lively summer evenings within a short drive — the Angry Bull Steakhouse for a hearty night out, or Chez François overlooking the Vermilion River when the occasion calls for something more special. Fly-In Ready This is how we think a bout stocking these spaces: imagine landing at the airport with your luggage and nothing else. You shouldn't have to spend $100 at a grocery store replacing things you already own at home — things you simply couldn't pack. We've taken care of that. Towels and blankets are here in real abundance — not one thin towel per person and a shared blanket. The kitchen is stocked with quality cookware, fine dishes, and high-end knives. The cupboards are loaded with spices, and fresh herbs grow just outside the door. Condiments are kept stocked and fresh. Then there are the things you forgot. Not just shampoo and toothpaste — we're talking toothbrushes, razors, hair ties (consistently one of our most appreciated touches), Q-tips, and more. Families with infants will find a pack-and-play ready to go. The coffee and tea setup deserves its own mention. We offer three brewing methods and two ways to steep tea, including fresh whole beans you can grind yourself and a rotating selection of specialty and exotic flavors. Guests who consider themselves casual coffee drinkers tend to leave with higher standards. You bring what you plan to eat. We've handled everything else. The Space Sleeping is flexible. A full-size cabinet murphy bed folds away when you want the floor space back — useful for yoga, play space, or just room to breathe. A short-queen sleeper sofa with a 4.5-inch cool memory foam mattress handles additional guests comfortably. Both have mattress toppers for extra comfort. The kitchen runs on a full-size stove, over-the-range microwave, apartment fridge with freezer, and a Primo water cooler with built-in Keurig. A propane grill with full accessories is set up on the patio. Cooking a few meals in rather than dining out every night will more than offset any difference from hotel pricing — and you'll have everything you need to actually do it. On-demand hot water means no rationing showers. In-unit laundry means you can pack lighter and keep swim gear fresh all week. Beyond the Walls Bikes, beach gear, kayaks, and an electric tandem are available for guests — the tandem doubles as a surprisingly fun way to reach local shops (small daily or per-stay rental fee). Tennis, pickleball, and basketball courts are part of the community. What ties it all together is something harder to list: no hotel hallways, no strangers, no interruptions. Just your people, a space that was genuinely ready for you, and whatever you came here to make of it. Guest access Guest Access This is a whole-house rental — you will be the only guests with access to your space during your stay. The adjoining "Crew Quarters" unit in the front of the property has its own separate entrance and is isolated by three layers of drywall and insulation along the small shared wall section. We make a point of meeting every guest in person, and there are three reasons for that. The first is practical. We've been doing this for five seasons, and we've learned from experience — ours and from the veterans who've been generous with their wisdom. We verify that the person checking in is the person who booked (our legal advisor's recommendation), and we do a quick walkthrough of the house rules. Spaces that sleep six sometimes see nine people arrive. Sixty feet of vehicles have shown up for our modest parking. We love dogs — we allow one small dog — but we do charge a pet fee and set size limits to protect both the space and our ability to turn it over quickly between guests. None of this is meant to be a hurdle; it's just how we keep things running well for everyone. The second reason is the house itself. It comes with far more than you'll stumble on alone. The tour is usually short and entertaining — though some guests and I have ended up talking for quite a bit longer. The third reason is something more personal. This house is my father's legacy. Growing up, family vacations weren't optional — they were how we built memories together. I've been lucky to travel extensively as an adult, and somewhere along the way I realized that hosting is just the other side of that same coin. The care we put into this place — the impeccable maintenance, the quick attention to everything from a chip in the paint to a faulty outlet — comes from that. We want you to have an experience worth remembering. We'd genuinely like to meet you, even briefly. A note on boats and parking: We don't have trailer parking on the property, and the shared driveway situation has recently changed with the sale of the neighboring house. That said, Cranberry Creek Marina is less than a quarter mile away and is a safe, secure option. We've also parked a few guests in our own driveway when needed and hope to formalize a dedicated spot in the future. Street parking around the park is tolerated in the off-season but enforced aggressively in high season. If you're coming with a boat, reach out ahead of time and we'll figure out the best solution together. Other things to note Please note there is no room for parking a boat at this property. Cranberry Creek Marina is 1/3 mile to the west and should be contacted in advance to arrange accommodation for your boat and trailer. There is an allowance for a small pet of 25#'s or less, but we will ask about the breed and size, and it comes with a pet fee. Mitiwanga is leashed dog-friendly, however, dogs are not permitted in the beach-front park. Some of our amenities require a wavier and a small rental fee that will be billed after the stay to make sure there was weather and time to use it.
