Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Cottage by the Sea is located in South Nags Head, in a quiet, family-oriented cottage court. The delightful sound of waves breaking on the beach is the background noise. A screened porch and deck is on the oceanside for enjoying the sea and sun. The space Cottage by the Sea is an 800 sq. ft. home located on the dune line in South Nags Head. Inside, you’ll find rustic juniper walls, central heat and air, and Wi-Fi. Bedrooms: Captain’s Room – Queen bed, twin bed, and half bath Shell Room – Queen bed and child’s bed Lighthouse Room – Queen bed Full bath with washer/dryer located in the hall Living & Kitchen: Living room with Lazy Boy recliner, DVD player, and Smart TV (2024 update) Well-equipped kitchen with dishes, cookware, and appliances Outdoor Features: Two Parking spaces under the cottage Outdoor shower with hot/cold water Park-style BBQ grill Elevated setting with only 10 steps up Updates: 2024: Smart TV in living area 2025: New flooring, décor, and bedding Guest Notes: Access to the cottage requires stairs. No elevator. Sand is common in the area, including under the house, on walkways, deck, patio, porch and street. Fresh linens and towels are provided. For added comfort, we recommend bringing extra towels, beach blankets, beach towels, and any specific items you prefer (toilet paper, paper towels, cooking supplies, etc.). Starter supplies are included, but not full replacements. Guest access Guests have full private access to the entire cottage, including the screened porch, deck, outdoor shower, grill, and parking area. Access requires stairs.
