Description
Our cute and cozy cabin is steps from the water of Back Creek. Bring your boat and come out for a relaxing stay! Don't forget the poles. There's plenty of fish right out your front door. The cabin itself has all the comforts of home. It is open spaced with a full kitchen, queen bed and two chairs that convert into single cots. Our peaceful porch is perfect for a cookout, napping on our lounge for two with mosquito netting or just watching the fish jump. PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE BOOKING. The space The picturesque and quiet town of Bath is North Carolina’s oldest town and port of entry. We are blessed to call it home! Bath is home to less than 300 folks and was the stomping grounds of Edward Teach, the infamous pirate Blackbeard. Located on the Pamlico river, there is water everywhere. Our property is peaceful and serene with a large and inviting porch. Our home sits on the back of the property while the cabin is steps from the water and dock. Our cabin is designed for two or a small family. While we can sleep four, it is one open space with no bedroom for privacy. You can bring 4 adults, but the chairs that convert to single cots aren’t great for older backs. We DO NOT recommend for adults, but children will sleep well. We are in walking distance to all that Bath has to offer. There is a visitor’s center, two restaurants, a store, shops and several historic sites. We’ve even got an ABC store! Goose Creek State Park is only 6 miles away. It has beautiful hiking trails and private sandy beaches. We hope to host you soon! Guest access You are welcome to wander anywhere on our property! Other things to note Darryl and his mum, Julia are from England. She is new to the states. She’s getting on in years, but is sharp as a tack and quite funny when she wants to be. She likes to putz about the property and come down to the water to feed the birds. She is hard of hearing, so if you greet her and she doesn't respond, it's because she didn't hear you. She's a friendly old bird! Please speak in your normal voice rather than louder and maybe a bit more slowly. She's worth a chat! We do have a friendly little Morkie named Trigger that is allowed to wander on the property. Yes, he will climb on your leg for affection and a booty rub. He barks out of excitement and to let us know you’ve arrived. He would NEVER bite. He’ll keep barking until you give him a proper greeting. That means kneeling and calling his name and swooning over him. If you have an aversion to dogs, just let us know. We’ll keep him away. We also have a tiny neighbor dog named Elvis who will wander over. He’s not interested in you or being petted. Just being nosy. If you are confident your babes won’t wander, they are welcome to be off leash. This is not a good property to bring aggressive dogs. If you have any worries Trigger or Elvis may be harmed, please don’t! Even with your dog on leash, the tiny boys may approach. PLEASE READ OUR HOUSE MANUAL ON OUR EXPECTATIONS WITH PETS. If you are bringing a boat, you’ll launch at The Quarter Deck. It is a very low bridge to get to our dock. Depending on the the tide, 5-7’ clearance. No tall aerials or Bimini’s.
