Description
**Please scroll down for many guest reviews** Idyllic historic family home with private garden. Casa Erica is a fully restored ancient monastery on a quiet street in the charming town of Lubriano. The large private garden is a treasure of tranquility with cherry and olive trees, roses and herbs. The living room has high beamed ceilings with doors opening onto the garden. Shops and restaurants are within a 5 minute walk. There is a free shuttle bus to Civita. The space **Casa Erica is a generational home which has recently been handed down to the next generation. Per Airbnb regulation, we have had to start a new account, but the home has been on Airbnb for many years. Please scroll down to read our most recent reviews.** Casa Erica is part of an ancient monastery complex and is estimated to be around 400 years old. We did a full restoration 18 years ago. The bathrooms and kitchen have been recently remodeled and are modern and new, fully equipped with all conveniences. The home is two story, with one of the double bedrooms and a full bathroom up the spiral staircase. The other rooms are all on the first floor which opens out onto the garden and patio. Lubriano is a lovely town and is quite bustling, especially on the weekends, but the house and garden are always tranquil and quiet. Within a ten minute walk of Casa Erica you will find three bar/coffee shops, four fantastic restaurants, two grocery stores, a wonderful local produce shop, a butcher, a pharmacy, post office, ATM, and more. Please see Erica's Guide to Lubriano for more details. There is air conditioning upstairs, but due to the thick stone walls, the downstairs stays cool year round. There are fans in each room. Please note: the fireplace is decorative only. We provide all linens and towels, as well as basic toiletries. The kitchen has a Nespresso machine and we'll leave enough pods for a few days of coffee. Flexible check-in and check-out (free upon request if available) and luggage storage. Baby cot and children's dinnerware. CAMINO LARTH PILGRIMS - Please send a message so I can apply the discount. Transfers (baggage and person) available for a small fee. The Camino goes directly through Lubriano. Casa Erica provides the perfect rest spot and, being a former monastery, is in keeping with the contemplative spirit of the Camino. **RECENT REVIEWS** Christina, Vallejo, California January 2024, Rating, 5 stars Heather was so delightful and friendly.
