River Retreat Suite- Breakfast for 2

The Grand Castalian Inn Bed and Breakfast is in the heart of Berkeley Springs, WV! An ideal location- quiet and secluded, yet walking distance to our charming downtown. Our luxury bed and breakfast with modern comforts is unlike traditional B&Bs while still preserving the long history of this stunning Victorian home. Each room is a different vacation with their own character and theme. You'll find a room that feels like it was made just for you. The space Located on the second floor, our most spacious suite features two adjoining rooms that take you on a journey down the river. Perfect for couples or family to enjoy extra space, or travelers who need a dedicated workspace. Don't want to share a bed? No problem. The couch also converts into a queen, and the two bunks are extra cozy. Envelop yourself in a plush bathrobe and step into your private ensuite bathroom. Float on peaceful waves of tranquility in a soothing jetted tub with shower. A private access opens to the upper deck where you can lounge at your own bistro table and gaze over the veranda. Features a luxurious hybrid queen bed and additional sleeping spaces in adjoining room with a bunk bed and sleeper couch that converts, a Roku TV, turkish towels, terry robes, mini-fridge and Keurig. BREAKFAST- is served between 8:30AM to 10AM every morning. Fri and Sat will be served an entre item in addition to the continental offerings. The first floor opens into a spacious dining area. Enjoy a luxurious breakfast served between 8AM and 10AM on our adorned dining tables or lounge on our outdoor patio with bistro table. At night, warm yourself in front of our gas fire pit on our patio under the stars. With the addition of our gas grill, make it a BBQ night. Families are welcome but please be aware The Grand Castalian is a couples retreat. Children ages 12+ are allowed. Children between ages 8-12 must be approved by the hosts before booking. Children under 10 are not allowed. Guest access There is plenty of parking in our private driveway in the spaces in front of the house and street parking. A ramp on the north side of the house leads onto the porch for easy access. Each door is equipped with a key pad for extra security. Every guest will receive their own code. The second floor is accessed through the grand staircase of Castalian Hall with the original woodwork and features. Unfortunately, the River Retreat is on the second level and is only accessed from the stairway, NO ADA access. Other things to note The Castalian Hall is a large Victorian home with two levels. Parts of the home that are still under remodel are locked or clearly marked. These areas are off limits to guests for safety concerns. We are working to bring you larger access to all the stunning areas of this gorgeous home. The plumbing is replaced, but because of the size of the house, hot water can take a few minutes. Please be patient when running the water. Much of the home is original, and we are trying to preserve the features to last many years to come. The large windows are beautiful but old, some are difficult to open. Please do not force windows, if they are stuck, call us. The stairway is original, please treat it well. Rooms are not noise proof and may carry sound through the spacious home. Quiet time is after 10pm, please be respectful to other guests.
