Description
Casa Torote's guest house "Casita Torote" is a modern apartment that rents separately from the main house occasionally, while the owners stay in the main house. Casa Torote, managed by Wanderways Vacation Rentals, is a beautiful ocean view property in an excellent location with a heated pool. The property is just a short walk to the beach, steps away from a fully stock supermarket, artisanal coffee shop, restaurants, bars and more. The space PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: The casita is an apartment studio concept with a spacious feel that includes a small front deck, living room, kitchen with a dual-purpose center island (cooking and dining), a bedroom, closet, and full bathroom (no tub). The common areas include a beautiful palapa-covered grill & bar, a heated pool, a fire pit in the 2nd floor deck, and a seasonal hot tub (mid-November to mid-March). The palapa is a great area to socialize and have BBQs as it counts with lots of counter space, a large charcoal grill, a half bathroom, a changing room, an outdoor shower, and a drying lines rack for your wetsuits and gear. *The hot tub can be available during the warmer months per request with an extra fee (March to mid-November). OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Kiters & Wing foilers: There are two launch spots within a 5 and 10-minutes' walk. The closer launch point is only recommended for intermediate and experienced kiters, and for experienced wing foilers. Noise at night: Although the town is usually "sleepy" by 9 pm, be aware that occasionally people drive around proud of their music. It is part of their culture, so we can only say welcome to Baja, Mexico! But don't worry, you'll get used to it. But if you are sensitive to noise at night, a couple of earplugs will take care of it. Small town infrastructure: This is small town in Baja Mexico, where infrastructure is not the best. Power outages and infrastructure failures are not uncommon and are out of our control. The environment is harsh on things and will wear and deteriorate things fast. We don't offer refunds for things out of our control or if the home is out of a feature for 1-2 days. Guest access The casita guests have access to the casita and common outdoor areas. Other things to note Hot Tub: Only available seasonally, between mid-November and mid-March. Kiters: There are two beaches only 5 and 10 minutes away (walking). The first is ideal for intermediate and advanced kiters, as the bluff makes a small wind shadow. The second beach, just 120 meters south, has a wider sandy beach and totally friendly for beginners. Several kiteboarding schools take their students to start a down-winder from that beach. Beach lovers who are not kiters: The nearby beaches are beautiful and private and excellent for walks! Just note that the sand is a bit thicker than the sand in South Beach. At night: Although the town is usually "sleepy" at 9 pm, occasionally, people drive around proud of their music. We can just say welcome to Baja, Mexico! But don't worry, you'll get used to it. But if you are sensitive to noise at night, a couple of earplugs will take care of the noise.
