Glenydd is a spacious detached period house set in wonderful countryside in Rhydlewis, Ceredigion. Just a short drive from beautiful sandy beaches and spectacular coastal walks. (4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom) The space Glenydd is a spacious and charming four bedroom detached period house, with wonderful countryside views, located in Rhydlewis, Ceredigion. Idyllic rural location in an unspoilt landscape. Take a trip to one of the many fantastic beaches which are just 15 minutes away by car. Llangrannog, with its beautiful eateries - ice cream, chips and pizza. Penbryn for an amazing beach that is completely unspoilt. Tresaith with its waterfall and panoramic views from The Ship beer garden or Aberporth with two family-friendly beaches in a fabulous sandy cove. Glenydd is a perfect base to explore the area. Take a trip to Da Mhile, an organic distillery based in Llandysul, or try an Italian at La Calabria restaurant a couple of miles away. In addition, there are two excellent pubs serving food - The Ffostrassol Arms and The Daffodil – just a short drive away. There are superb walks in the area, and you can spot an array of wildlife - even just by staying in the well-kept garden. Glenydd is an excellent place to get away from it all and enjoy a fantastic break. ACCOMMODATION Glenydd sleeps a maximum of 7 guests which includes all adults, children and babies, in 4 upstairs bedrooms: 2 king-size, 1 double and 1 single room. UPSTAIRS Bedroom 1: king-size bed, hairdryer, USB charging points, clock radio Bedroom 2: double bed, clock radio Bedroom 3: king-size bed, clock radio Bedroom 4: single bed, clock radio Bathroom: Wet room with power shower and nonslip floor, WC, hand basin DOWNSTAIRS Sitting room: two 2-seater sofas, two 2 seater bench seats in impressive inglenook fireplace with open fire, 46” Freeview TV/DVD. Panoramic country views. Living room: 2-seater electric recliner sofa, electric recliner chair, 32” TV with Freeview, open fire USB charge points. Views over garden. Kitchen/Dining room: ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge, dishwasher, table seating 6 Utility room: Fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board and iron. OUTSIDE Large enclosed rear garden with furnished decking area. Outside WC. Driveway parking for 2 cars. KEY FACTS -Bed linen and towels provided, including beach towels -Oil central heating -Heating and electricity included -First basket of logs provided, more available to purchase locally -Free WiFi -No dogs, sorry -No smoking Other things to note Pre Arrival There are local buses which run through the village and a bus stop a short walk from the property. There are also several local taxi firms which are used regularly by the villagers. Unfortunately, we are unable to collect from any train stations as they are too far from the location of the property – the nearest mainline stations are Aberystwyth and Carmarthen. There are no mainline coach stations and the nearest drop-off point again is Carmarthen.  In regards to mobile phone reception, this really depends on your provider as reception can be a bit hit-and-miss depending on where you go. Full Wifi access is provided within the property and it provides coverage to all rooms within the house and the garden. Grocery deliveries are provided to the village by Tesco, Asda, and Morrisons – if you wish to place a delivery order for your stay then the owners are happy to accept the delivery and put it away for you (it can only be arranged for the day of your arrival) – Delivery address – Glenydd, Rhydlewis, SA44 5RG ---- if you are arranging a delivery then please inform the owners the delivery slot time, so that that they are there to accept it. Arrival and car parking The property has a gated driveway; the gates will be open for your arrival. There are x2 entrances to the property – the front door (to the left as you drive in) and an enclosed back porch (to the right as you drive in). The key will be placed in a key safe with the enclosed porch to the right (the combination will be provided by the owners on full payment). The driveway is mainly laid to tarmac and is level up to the enclosed back porch where it then is sloped towards the garage (not for use during your stay). There is a small step over the threshold of the front door leading into the hallway. From the enclosed porch there is x1 step leading into the kitchen through a stable door. There are outside lights that are motion censored on both doors. Inside Leading from the front door to both sitting rooms and the kitchen is a tiled floor; there is a non-slip mat from the front door to the bottom of the stairs.  Both sitting rooms are carpeted with sofas, open fires, and overhead/wall lighting with TVs in both rooms, which are remote-controlled.  The lounge also has a remote-controlled DVD player and a selection of DVDs. The kitchen and utility room both have lino. There is x1 step from the kitchen to the utility room. From the kitchen/diner, there are x2 entrances/exits – from the lounge it is flat but there is a large step from the dining room into the hall way. A motion sensor night light has been placed. All bedrooms are carpeted with at least 2-3 ft. on either side of all the large rooms, the single room it is approx. 1ft.  All large bedrooms have space for a travel cot. A hair dryer is supplied. All bedrooms are accessed via the staircase. Motion sensor night lights have been placed at the top of the staircase. The kitchen has an electric cooker with an overhead extractor, full-size dishwasher, a toaster and a kettle. The kitchen units are all over average height.  There is a dining table, which is able to be extended to sit up to six people. There is a small under-the-counter fridge in the kitchen along with a full-sized fridge freezer in the utility room. The utility room also has a microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board, and iron. The bathroom is at the end of the upper corridor and is down two steps. It has been designed as a wet room; there is a WC, a large single washbasin and a walk-in shower with support rails and a pulldown seat if required. The floor is nonslip. Motion sensor night lights have been placed at the top of the steps. Outside There is a very large garden, surrounding three sides of the property. The large main garden has stock fencing due to the adjacent fields having livestock – this is topped with barbed wire. This large area has some trees but is mainly flat. The garden closest to the house is private and not overlooked, there are x3 grassed areas. Mature fruit trees are within the garden – x2 eating apple trees, cooking apple tree and plum tree (all fruit available to guests).  There is a small decking area that can be accessed via a small ramp, an outdoor table and chairs are provided. There are x3 steps if entering the garden via the front of the house but the garden can be accessed via the backdoor down the slope and through an archway in the wall. The paving is uneven around the lawn areas and approximately 1 foot wide.  There are some outbuildings on the main area of the lawn which are not accessible to guests and also a concreted area between the outbuildings.  There is also a fully functional outside toilet, near the archway and decking (no spiders).
