Located in the Ozark hills but less than 20 minutes from Branson, sits this fully renovated earth-berm style home in Forsyth, MO. Winter views of Swan Creek and the beautiful sunrise and sunset are visible from the deck, as well as the sights and sounds of nature. Our lakehouse is the perfect place for a quiet weekend getaway, but also close enough to explore Branson, Silver Dollar City, and 3 of the most popular lakes in Missouri without all of the "noise"! The space This home is situated in a quiet neighborhood bordered by Swan Creek, which feeds into Bull Shoals Lake. It backs up to woods owned by the Corps of Engineers. There is a path leading to the creek by walking a short distance through the neighborhood. We offer Wi-Fi, and there is also excellent cellular service to set up your hotspot and access streaming services on the smart TV. We have an antenna that picks up local and basic cable channels. This home contains 2 bedrooms, 1 bonus room, and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed, large dresser, two nightstands, and "egg chair" with comfortable pillows. The chest at the foot of the bed contains extra blankets. The second bedroom has a full-sized bed, nightstand and dresser. Both bedrooms have sliding glass patio doors leading out to the large deck. The bonus room is a large room with 2 sets of twin sized bunk beds, dresser, and closet. The master bathroom contains a walk-in shower, vanity, and hair dryer. The main bathroom features a double vanity and has a large walk-in shower. We have a full kitchen stocked with all of the essentials, and cleaning supplies are under the kitchen sink. There is a cabinet in the kitchen with a large selection of movies, games, blankets, and home supplies. We have a laundry room with washer, dryer, and hampers for guest use. The cabinet next to the washing machine has extra towels and linens. Laundry detergent is available for guests to use. The large deck contains patio furniture and a porch swing for dining and relaxing, Weber grill, and firepit. There is a deck box which contains cushions for the chairs. We have a small backyard behind the deck which stops at the treeline. The picture of the backyard suggests a steep hill, but it is a slight slope and no-drop off. Guest access All spaces are available for guest use except for the closet in the master bedroom, the closet in the laundry room, the attic, and the space containing the water heater. Guests are not allowed to access (including but not limited to walking, running, jumping on) the roof at any given time. Other things to note There is a cleaning fee of $135. Things to note: -The house is surrounded by woods and approximately 100 yards from Swan Creek. Therefore, you may encounter and come into contact with insects, spiders, snakes, and other wildlife. The house is treated monthly, and there are sticky traps in various places throughout the house. -As seen from the map, across Swan Creek from the house is a park/campground, public boat access, and 2 lane road (technically considered a highway) w/ bridge across the water. During certain months of the year, you may hear some traffic noise. We ask that you treat this home as your own and respect our space as well as our neighbors. Thank you!
