Peaceful getaway on Bull Shoals/Lake Taneycomo

Located less than 20 minutes from Branson, sits this fully renovated earth-berm style home w/ HUGE deck in Forsyth, MO. Winter views of Swan Creek which feeds into Bull Shoals at the boat ramp less than 5 minutes away. Our lakehouse is the perfect place for a quiet weekend getaway, but also close enough to explore Branson, Silver Dollar City, and 3 of the most popular lakes in Missouri without all of the "noise"! Guided fishing trips available by an amazing local guide available upon request! The space This home is situated in a quiet neighborhood bordered by Swan Creek, which feeds into Bull Shoals Lake. It backs up to woods owned by the Corps of Engineers. There is a path leading to the creek by walking a short distance through the neighborhood. We offer Wi-Fi, and there is also excellent cellular service to set up your hotspot and access streaming services on the smart TV. We have an antenna that picks up local and basic cable channels. This home contains 2 bedrooms w/ 1 queen bed in each, 1 bonus room w/ twin size bunk beds, and 2 full bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have sliding glass patio doors leading out to the large deck. We have a full kitchen stocked with all of the essentials, and cleaning supplies are available. There is a cabinet in the kitchen with a large selection of movies, games, blankets, and home supplies. Large laundry room contains washer, dryer, and hampers. Laundry detergent is also available for guests to use. Guests are welcome to use the woodburning stove, weber grill, firepit, and propane firepit. Please use at your discretion. We have a small backyard behind the deck which stops at the treeline. The picture of the backyard suggests a steep hill, but it is a slight slope and no-drop off. Guest access All spaces are available for guest use except for the closet in the master bedroom, the closet in the laundry room, the attic, and the space containing the water heater. Due to the roof being at ground level, guests are not allowed to access (including but not limited to walking, running, jumping on) the roof at any given time. Other things to note There is a cleaning fee of $125. Upon booking, guests will be asked to fill out a short-term rental agreement with their contact information. Things to note: -The house is surrounded by woods and approximately 100 yards from the water. Therefore, you may encounter and come into contact with insects, spiders, snakes, and other wildlife. The house is treated by a professional, and there are sticky traps in various places throughout the house. -As seen from the map, across Swan Creek from the house is a park/campground, public boat access, and 2 lane road (technically considered a highway) w/ bridge across the water. During certain months of the year, you may hear some traffic noise. We ask that you treat this home as your own and respect our space as well as our neighbors. Thank you!
