The Cove is a beautifully crafted cabin on Lake Fontana. Enjoy your days on the dock, around the firepit, and relaxing on the huge deck. The space Secluded on Fontana Lake, this brand-new, 2750 SF, lake-front mountain home is only 12 miles, 25 minutes from downtown Bryson City. A perfect property for families or a few couples who desire mountain lake enjoyment at its finest. A spectacular, wilderness lake view greets you as you enter. Soaring wood ceilings lead to large windows with breathtaking views and a floor-to-ceiling stacked-stone fireplace finishes the main living area. You'll enjoy a large deck for outdoor socializing in a serene, private setting. A well-stocked roomy kitchen overlooks the open floor plan inviting a comfortable social atmosphere, plenty of room for dining. One luxurious master suite is on the main level with its own deck overlooking the lake and comes with a spacious bathroom, dual sinks, and a large walk-in shower. The lower master, also with lake views comes with it's own private bath room with a walk-in shower and water closet. The 2nd lower-level bedroom comes with a full-size bunk bed with a pull out trundle. A roomy downstairs living, gaming, recreation area, with full bath, includes a 55" TV w/soundbar, mini foosball, comfortable furniture, including a sleeper sofa. TV’s are also provided in both the masters and upstairs great room. A patio off this lower level also offers amazing views, a fire pit w/ comfortable seating, a separate picnic area and of course, a hot tub. You'll be amazed with the hardscaping. More private seating for two is also provided on a lower deck looking over the lake. An easy stroll on the private trail leads to the covered dock where you can swim and store your boat for fishing, lake touring, skiing, or tubing. Over 700 miles of trails can be accessed by boat into Great Smoky Mountain National park or one can tour by boat over to Tsali's famous mountain bike trails. One can arrange for boat rentals at one of two local marinas. Two kayaks and a stand-up paddle board are provided for complimentary use. The Bryson City area has been described as the most beautiful pristine lakefront wilderness areas in the southeast. Access to 30-mile-long Fontana Lake is limited in that 96% of its 236 miles of shoreline is federally owned, bordered by the Great Smoky Mountain National Park to the north and the Nantahala National Forest on its southern shores. National Geographic’s Vacation Magazine and ABC’s Good Morning America rated this area the “Number One Vacation Water Destination in America”. Travelers Magazine rated Bryson City as one of the five most amazing mountain towns in America. And, according to the Men's Journal article, one of "The 10 Best Mountain Towns in America” with the area offering unsurpassed outdoor recreation. *Please note that Fontana Lake levels fluctuate in the off season and the dock will not be floating for about 5 months of the year. Important Notice: Road Conditions in the Smoky Mountains Please be aware that road conditions in the Smoky Mountains can be unpredictable and may change rapidly due to weather. Our cabin’s roads & driveways are either pavement or gravel or both. Depending on the season, you may experience road conditions such as heavy rain washouts, snow, sleet, roads covered in leaves, etc. We highly recommend using a 4WD vehicle to ensure safe travel to your cabin, especially during winter months or inclement weather. We also strongly recommend traveling in a vehicle with higher ground clearance to navigate the terrain more easily. Low clearance vehicles will not be able to access certain cabin roads including The Watershed Resort. We advise checking weather and road conditions prior to your trip to ensure a safe and pleasant journey. Your safety is our priority. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Water Conservation Policy To ensure the sustainability of our beautiful mountain environment, we kindly ask all guests to use water mindfully during their stay. Please limit shower times, turn off the tap while brushing your teeth, and report any leaks immediately. We also encourage the reuse of towels and linens to reduce water consumption. These small actions help preserve our natural resources and keep the mountains pristine for future visitors. Run the washer sparingly. Only run the dishwasher when it's full. DO NOT wash your car. Thank you for understanding, and we look forward to your visit! Attention: Active Wildlife in the Area Our area of WNC is currently experiencing increased wildlife activity, particularly from bears. While it’s a privilege to share our environment with these magnificent creatures, it’s essential that we all take precautions to ensure our safety and theirs. Please follow these guidelines: Secure all food and garbage: Bears are attracted to strong smells. Do not leave food in your car and reattach bungee cords to trash can lids every time. Be aware of your surroundings: Stay alert, especially during dawn and dusk when wildlife is most active. Avoid close encounters: If you see a bear or other wildlife, maintain a safe distance and do not approach. Travel in groups: When possible, hike or explore with others, and make noise to alert animals of your presence. Keep dogs leashed at all times. Your cooperation is crucial in maintaining a safe and harmonious environment for everyone. Thank you for your attention and care.
