The house therefore does not meet the criteria of the "Tourisme et Handicap" label. ENVIRONMENT: In a house nestled in the heart of the regional natural park of the upper Chevreuse valley, it is important to preserve the environment. LET'S REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION : To save energy, the insulation of the house has been improved with: •⁠ ⁠double and triple glazing, • insulation of the attic and gables of the house, • blackout curtains on the floor-to-ceiling windows on the ground floor In addition, the house is equipped with a central connected thermostat to finely control the radiators on the ground floor. The electric water heater as well as the TVs and the audio amplifier are also remotely controllable via connected sockets. Sensors make it possible to monitor the evolution of temperatures and humidity in the garden and in the two levels of the house. In winter, visitors cannot resist using the high-performance wood-burning stove that allows all the rooms of the house to be heated in a few hours. The kitchen, installed in July 2020, is equipped with modern, energy-efficient appliances. LET'S REDUCE WATER CONSUMPTION: The two water collectors located on the two facades of the house make it possible to use rainwater to water the garden, wash the terraces, and fill the birdbath located on the trunk of the cherry tree. LET'S PRESERVE BIODIVERSITY: Respect for biodiversity is also essential if we still want to observe birds on the branches of the cherry tree in the future. The four nest boxes on the cherry tree and the mirabelle plum tree allow the tits to settle and breed in the garden. Tits are the best insecticides in our gardens. The house is located less than 500 meters from the center of Cernay-La-Ville where you will find a bakery, butcher shop, grocery store, hairdresser, restaurants, not to mention one of the best pastry shops in the region "Le Jardin Sucré". From the center of the village, bus 5330 allows you to reach Rambouillet Station and RER B Station in Saint-Rémy-Lès-Chevreuse in 25 minutes.
