Description
As a Superhost, I’ve proudly welcomed many satisfied guests. When the neighborhood experienced changes due to years of loud construction and increased homelessness, I received some negative reviews. I assure you, My property is a clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained retreat. Guests will appreciate a private entrance, two bedroom stay with on-site parking that's walking distance to everything Portland has to offer. The space Welcome to Your Portland Getaway – Hosted by Christine Hi, I’m Christine! I’m here to help you enjoy a comfortable, memorable stay in my home. While I may not always be available in person (I like to let guests have their own space), I’m always reachable by phone or text—and happy to assist in any way I can. About the Space This cozy Airbnb is part of my two-story Portland duplex, thoughtfully converted to give guests a private and self-sufficient experience. My family lives in a completely separate and secure area, so you’ll have the Airbnb space entirely to yourself. Though the house is over 100 years old and has its quirks, the Airbnb portion has been fully prioritized and refreshed to offer charm, comfort, and cleanliness. Think of it as a warm, lived-in space with character—not modern, but certainly welcoming. Your stay here directly supports my ongoing renovations, and I’m proud to say the guest area is the best part of the home! The Neighborhood Located in the heart of Portland, you’ll be just steps away from some of the city’s best spots. Popular local favorites like Bubba’s Sulky Lounge (where I’ve worked for 17 years), Wilson County Barbecue, Isa, Bar Publica, and Bayside American Cafe are within a block. You can also walk to the Portland Museum of Art, the Nickelodeon Theater, Old Port (the waterfront), Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Deering Oaks Park, and several award-winning microbreweries. While the neighborhood has changed over the years and homelessness is visible, the area is walkable, lively, and overall safe. I always encourage guests to stay aware of their surroundings, while walking. Bonus: We’re less than two minutes from I-295, making travel north or south incredibly convenient. Inside the Rental • Blackout curtains ensure restful sleep • Minimal outdoor noise • Microwave, fridge, high-speed Wi-Fi, and TV provided • Private entrance • Off-street parking Frequently Asked Questions Q: When can I check in or check out? A: I’ll do my best to accommodate your preferred times. Please note that early check-ins depend on whether another guest is checking out that morning—I need a little time to reset the space for you. Q: Will I have a key? Can I come and go as I please? A: No physical key needed! You’ll receive a code for keyless entry, so you can come and go at your convenience. Please be sure to read the full listing, as it answers most—if not all—of the questions you might have. I look forward to hosting you! Guest access Guests will enter the front door and my family will use the back door. After entering, you will proceed up the stairs. One room will be on the left and the other is on the right. The two rooms are connected but separated by a bathroom. Other things to note While issues are very uncommon, there are situations where I will provide a refund. To help ensure the best outcome, I ask that guests contact me directly before a refund is considered. Mistakes, misunderstandings, and unexpected situations can happen, and I genuinely want my guests to feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. In my experience, most concerns can be resolved quickly through a simple conversation, and I’m always happy to work with guests to address issues whenever possible. If you have a concern, please reach out to me—in person, by phone, or by text—before requesting a refund. Open communication is an important part of my refund policy because it gives me the opportunity to understand the situation, address any concerns, and work toward a fair and reasonable solution. Refund requests made without first attempting to communicate with me will generally not be approved.
