Cévennes John and Isa's gîte

Our guest studio adjoining our house awaits you to spend a relaxing vacation amid vineyards, in a small village of Gard, just 10 km from the Cévennes. You will have complete independence thanks to a second entrance located opposite the studio. A small private terrace will allow you to have your meals outside, you can also enjoy our swimming pool, to share with us, in summer and our pétanque court. See you soon! The space Our accommodation consists of a main room with an equipped kitchen area, a living/bedroom area with a 2-person sofa bed and a bathroom with shower and toilet. An attic mezzanine about 1.60 m high with a double bed completes the accommodation. In front of the studio entrance is a small shaded terrace with a table and 4 chairs, to allow you to dine outdoors. In this space there is an electric tabletop barbecue with grease collector available. My partner Isabelle and I live in a charming little village located just 10 km from Anduze, gateway to the mountains of the Cévennes National Park, an ideal place for hiking and other nature sports. And various activities: the Bambouseraie, the Trabuc cave, the steam train, an animal garden, a tree climbing park, bike rental... There is also the Gardon River, suitable for swimming, kayaking, canyoning. The nearby mechanical center of Alès will appeal to car enthusiasts. Saint-Jean-du-Gard and the Chemin de Stevenson. Not to mention the Anduze night market in July and August! We are 1 hour from Montpellier, 30 minutes from Nîmes la Romaine, Uzès with its exceptional Saturday morning market, the famous Pont du Gard and other medieval villages. An hour from the beaches (Palavas-les-Flots, La Grande-Motte...) and the Camargue, you can see new landscapes and enjoy the sea! And to discover local and seasonal food products, the many markets and restaurants in the region will charm you. We offer optional guided and vehicle tours in the region since it is my partner's job. I can also, if you're interested, have you test my donkey milk soaps and cosmetics. Looking forward to welcoming you soon! Guest access You can use our pool, shared with us, the owners. On request, you can also use our petanque court and the balls. Other things to note Our house is located on a dead-end road, and most of the residents of the neighborhood are retirees, so we thank you for respecting the quietness of the area. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MEZZANINE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN. We provide bed sheets, towels, toilet paper, shower gel, soap, dish soap and sponges. WE DO NOT ADD A CLEANING FEE, SO PLEASE LEAVE THE STUDIO IN THE CONDITION IN WHICH YOU FOUND IT. We leave cleaning supplies (broom, dustpan and hand brush, toilet and bathroom cleaning products, cloths, mop, etc.), and if you need anything else, please let us know. Our pool is 7m by 3m, with a depth of 1.50 m from everywhere. It can be used during the summer. Please contact us for the start date (usually early June). Children who cannot swim are under the full responsibility of their parents. The pool access gate closes with a latch. The pool is shared with us, knowing that we respect your swimming moments. We live on site, right next to the studio, if you need anything, one of us will always be there. We've added a classic coffee maker to the Senseo coffee maker. It does not require paper filters.
