Description
In the living heart of the city of Bayeux, a house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a spa and a garden, fully equipped and "hidden" in the shade of a manor, which amazes with its 16th century turret. The house is rated 4 stars by Atout France. The stones and beams bring charm and perfectly match the loft spirit and premium amenities. Everything is within walking distance (museums, shops) The beaches of Arromanches and Omahah are in the immediate vicinity. The space The master bedroom on the ground floor has a large bathtub and a large walk-in shower on the ground floor upstairs, a shower room serves the 2 additional bedrooms the kitchen has high-tech equipment: an induction cooktop with integrated extraction, a dishwasher, a wine cellar, a convection oven, a microwave and a fridge with freezer. The laundry room has a washing machine and a dryer A parking space reserved for people with reduced mobility is located in front of the door of the house and a large free parking lot with charging station for electric vehicles is just opposite the garden has sun loungers and a barbecue the patio awaits you with its spa Guest access From Paris I recommend taking a train from Paris Gare St Lazare to Caen (2 hours) and renting your car at Caen train station (no car rental at Bayeux train station) 30 minutes to the center of Bayeux. Or take the train directly from Paris to Bayeux (2h15) Other things to note Here are the tours I recommend (my favorites) Regarding D-Day related tours. Around Bayeux I recommend Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery and next door, Combes and the German Cemetery. Pointe du Hoc (Rangers). The German battery of Longues-sur-Mer. The artificial port of Arromanches and its museum. In Bayeux, the English cemetery. Around Bayeux, the Canadian cemetery and Courseulles. If you wish, I can recommend a bilingual tour guide to accompany you "privately" for a day and these sites for example. You can also go to St. Mother Church in the east and to Benouville Bridge in the west, and/or visit the Caen Peace Memorial. Regarding the history of Normandy, visit the Bayeux Tapestry Museum (essential!) and the Caen Castle with the Men's Abbey (very beautiful) and the Women's Abbey. I hope you have a good preparation for your "tour" and I remain at your disposal Laurence Visiting Mont-Saint-Michel is recommended. The site is exceptional and go there on weekdays rather than weekends (visit the abbey at the top). Allow 1.5 hours from the house by car. If you decide to leave for a "big day" and come back late, go see St. Malo (fortified privateer town) and spend the end of the day there. Registration details 1404700037679
