La Luce, Morlaise house (North Finistère)

If you like the charm of carefully decorated atypical old houses, you are in the right place. La Luce is a typical Morlaisian house, with a warm atmosphere, conducive to moments with family or friends. The house is located in the heart of Morlaix, a dynamic and commercial city. We are literally a few dozen meters from some of the best restaurants in the city, the farmers' market or designer shops. The space Our house is located in downtown Morlaix, on a pedestrian, historic and shopping street, lined with small restaurants and artisan/artisan shops. All in height, with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 shower rooms refurbished in spring and a bathroom), 3 espalier gardens with views of the viaduct and the rooftops of the city, it is perfect for a family holiday or with friends. The house is a few minutes walk from the market square, the port, the theater, the cultural center La Manufacture (and its iconic cinemas). Our street is one of the passage points recommended by the Tourism Authority to visitors to the city. As for the city of Morlaix, it is ideally located for sailing in North Finistere. Within a 10-30 minute drive there are many beautiful walks with extremely varied scenery. Feel free to write to us if you have any questions, Marie and Martin 1st floor: - a laundry room with washer and dryer, - a room with 2 single beds, overlooking our inner courtyard (absolute calm and freshness guaranteed in summer), - a refurbished shower room and toilet. 2nd floor: - a well-equipped kitchen for 10 people with all the necessary appliances (toaster, microwave, kettle, KitchenAid blender, raclette machine, crepe maker, etc.), - a dining room with a large farm table that can accommodate beautiful tables, - a very large bedroom with a double bed and a dressing room (possibility to add a single bed or an umbrella bed without any worries), overlooking our inner courtyard and overlooking the gardens, - a refurbished shower room and a toilet, - a large living room with functional fireplace (+ sofa that can be converted into a bed for two people), an overhead projector and more than 30 board games available (Catan, Skull King, Oriflamme, etc.). 3rd floor: - a very large bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, overlooking the pedestrian street, - a very large bedroom with two double beds (including a four-poster bed), overlooking our inner courtyard and overlooking the gardens, - a small children's room (currently equipped for our 18-month-old daughter), overlooking our inner courtyard and overlooking the gardens, - bathroom with bathtub and toilet. The 3 gardens are one above the other. It is accessed via stairs that allow you to climb above the house. The first garden has a paved terrace and is equipped to accommodate alfresco lunches. The second and third garden allow you to enjoy the view and the Breton sun (I promise, it warms us several times a day). The house has a ground floor garage for a medium-sized car. As the street is pedestrianized, one-way and with restaurant terraces, you will be asked to be courteous to the neighborhood (drive slowly when passing close to the tables). In July and August, however, we recommend that you park your vehicle in the free zones, as the street is often crowded. [Please note: Sheets & towels are not provided. A concierge will ensure the cleanliness of the house before your arrival. Attention: for those who would come with small children, there is no gate on the stairs. However, there are doors that close before each landing. No worries: by paying attention to systematically closing the doors, we never had any worries with our children.
