Welcome to the friendly Gîte, a beautiful renovated barn of 130 m², where space, light and authenticity meet. Located on the banks of a beautiful river, this timeless place is a breath of fresh air, Normandy, just 4 km from the beaches of Barneville-Carteret. The space A space designed for Conviviality The heart of the gîte is our 43 m² living room, spacious and bright, ideal for shared moments: • Fully equipped kitchen: Prepare your feasts without constraint (large fridge, 4 hotplates, oven, microwave, filter coffee maker...). • Large dining area: A generous table that can accommodate up to 14 guests. • Cozy lounge area: Enjoy warm evenings by the wood-burning stove with a large comfortable sofa, perfect for game nights or reading. A thoughtful ground floor for your comfort (PRM access) We've made accessibility a priority so that everyone feels at home: • PRM bedroom on the ground floor: Enjoy a fully accessible double bedroom (140 x 190 cm bed), with storage. • Italian Shower Room: A large bathroom with a walk-in shower, sink and toilet, designed for the accessibility of People with Reduced Mobility. There is also a washing machine and a changing table. Your Quiet Nights (4 Bedrooms / Sleeps 10) Upstairs, the escape continues with views of nature: • Large Bedroom: Double view of the meadow and the old bread oven, with two double beds (160 x 200 cm and 140 x 190 cm). • Prairie Room: view of the fields with 1 double bed (140 x 190) and 1 single bed (90/190) + Umbrella bed available on request • Playful Dormitory: Sleeps 5, equipped with books and board games. The gîte has a second bathroom upstairs (shower, toilet). Your Outdoor Space and the Assets of Cotentin • Enjoy the Norman sun on our large terrace equipped with deckchairs, ideal for your meals and aperitifs outdoors. • A large landscaped garden with lots of charm. • Only 4 km away: Dive into the waves and enjoy the vast expanses of sand in Barneville-Carteret. Our Commitment to the Planet In order to make you aware of responsible consumption, a flat rate of 90 kw/day is included per night for electricity consumption (which covers heating at 19°C). In case of overrun, the kilowatt will be charged 0.25 cents upon departure (on meter reading). For stays longer than 3 nights, the total consumption will be on the meter reading. THINGS TO DO During your stay, there are many things to visit and discover: the Dunes d'Hatainville, the Carteret lighthouse, the markets of Barneville, Carteret, Portbail, the garden of the host of "Silence ça pousse" (Stéphane Marie), the customs trails, the Vauville pond, the Nez de Jobourg, lush gardens, the Cité de la Mer, the landing beaches, Saint Vaast la Hougue... and of course our beautiful sandy or pebble beaches, for walking, surfing...
