Here’s why this home always makes us smile… As you climb two stone steps up to the front door you can’t help but notice a dip under foot – so well worn is the concrete after years of use as a thriving shop in the heart of the community – a nod through the centuries back to days-gone-by. You’ll love the crow’s nest bunk that’s hidden behind some original panelled doors. Perfect for anyone seeking something a little bit unusual during their stay – kids and big kids alike! Don’t forget the popcorn because there’s even a TV in the bunk to play your favourite movies. Wander through Deal’s Georgian conservation area to the award-winning high street, about a 5 min walk, dotted with independent shops, cafes and a great choice of restaurants. Spend the day relaxing on the nearby beach (a few mins walk), dip your toes in the Channel or stretch your legs with a walk or a cycle ride along the esplanade with a pit stop at the locally renowned Zetland Arms pub right on the beach at Kingsdown. And, Bunk bed: • In the dining room hidden behind panelled doors is the crow’s nest bunk bed with TV Lounge: • Lounge with 2-seater sofa and box seat with cushion pad • Spiral staircase leading downstairs Kitchen: • Kitchen with seating for 2 on bar stools WC and shower: • WC with shower Spiral staircase: • A spiral staircase leads down to the bedroom and dressing room DOWNSTAIRS: Spiral staircase leading to: Double bedroom: • Double bedroom with double bed and TV on the wall Dressing room: • Open plan dressing room with dressing table and hanging space IMPORTANT INFO: We’d like to make perspective guests aware that there’s a spiral staircase which might not suit people with mobility issues. The crow’s nest bunk bed also won’t suit those with mobility issues as there is a vertical ladder to access it. We ask that you take care using the ladder and always use the hand rails. What to bring: - The property is completely self catering, so please bring any food you will want during your stay to cook with for example a special oil or herb (we clear the cupboards before each guest, so we'd prefer you to be prepared rather than disappointed if we do not have something you need). - Please also bring with you any toiletries that you wish to use such as body-wash, shampoo and conditioner as we do not leave these things (we do leave hand soap though, but personal things such as shampoo, body wash, deodorant we do not). - Guests often ask us if we leave towels and bedding - yes we do! We will leave a bath towel for each guest as well as a hand towel for the bathroom/s. We also provide items such as a tea towel, dish cloth/sponge, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand soap, and loo roll.
