One of the most spectacular sea views in the Cinque Terre, in a flat where legend and opera meet. Maemuna's windows look towards the Grotta Maemuna, a hidden cove tied to an old Ligurian legend: a mermaid's irresistible song was said to lure sailors towards those waters. The house has its own story too: the previous owner, an opera lover, would be rowed right into the cave with a gramophone, to hear classical music amplified by the rock walls.
