Traditional seaside resorts of Cromer, with pier, and Sheringham are both within 19 miles, also home to the North Norfolk Steam Railway. Wroxham is 12 miles away and is known as the capital of the Norfolk Broads National Park, here you can enjoy daily boat hire, or join a cruise and watch the world drift by. Jump on the Bure Valley Railway and travel through the pretty Norfolk countryside to the bustling market town of Aylsham, where you can jump on and off at riverside village of Buxton, and Coltishall. Bacton Wood is nearby and is ideal for cycling, picnic opportunities and great for long walks with miles of woodland trails to explore. Bird watching, golf and fishing all available locally. Further along the coastal route you will find Blakeney Quay, here you can enjoy a boat trip to see the seals (seasonal) and a popular spot to enjoy crabbing along the quay. Head east and you’ll discover Great Yarmouth’s golden mile and all the fun of the fair. Other attractions in the area include Amazonia Zoo, BeWILDerwood and Dinosaur Park at Lenwade and the medieval city of Norwich offers excellent shopping, two indoor shopping malls, a theatre, castle museum and plenty of eateries.
