Our Harp Lake cottage is perfect for a romantic couples get-a-way or adventure with family and friends. We are close to Arrowhead and Algonquin Provincial Parks for majestic fall colours, hiking, biking, golfing at Deerhurst, skating, and skiing. Huntsville is 10 minutes away and offers many charming shops and delicious dining options. Canoe or fish and enjoy spectacular sunsets, bonfires, and starry nights. If you want authentic Muskoka - relaxed, understated elegance you just found it! The space Living in the trees and steps away from the lake you will enjoy 300 feet of private shoreline and a sandy beach entry. Experience the luxury of Muskoka on a double lot where you can rejuvenate fully surrounded by nature. Wildlife sitings include deer, ducks, loons, raccoons, great blue herons, squirrels, wood peckers, chipmunks, and even the occasional moose! On the main level, there are 3 spacious bedrooms with luxury HBC linens. The master has a vaulted ceiling, a full cedar lined en-suite, and two large closets. The second and third large bedrooms with HBC linens have vaulted ceilings, fans, closets, and share a full cedar lined 4 piece bath with luxury towels and soaps. The open living room, dining room, and kitchen with new stainless steel appliances have vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, skylights, and a cozy wood-burning fireplace that connects to a wrap around cedar deck. The Muskoka room with sliding screens has comfy seating perfect for morning coffee, lazy afternoons with a book, or after-dinner drinks or karaoke. BBQ on a new Weber, stainless steel grill and dine in the fresh air overlooking the serenity of the lake at sunset. On the walk-out, open, lower level you can get your game on! A large games room with heated floors has an Olympic grade ping pong table, a Pac-Man arcade and mini foosball. Complimentary golf clubs, tennis rackets, disc golf discs, and snowshoes are all available on site. You can also relax on an oversized sofa to watch movies on a big-screen TV, or read from a Muskoka library next to a propane fireplace on a cozy leather couch. There is also a conveniently located full bathroom, and a separate laundry closet to freshen beach towels or your clothes during your stay. Wander down the granite stairs to the lakeside where you will find a beautiful, metal firepit with comfortable, composite Muskoka chairs ideal for relaxing campfires, music, and smores! Next to the docks, you will pass a cedar rack with two complimentary canoes, a kayak, and a paddleboard. A large floating mat is also ready for lakeside fun! Or just kick up your feet and relax. The dock also has comfortable, composite Muskoka chairs, headrests, a table, footrests, and sun umbrella. Movies under the stars? A portable movie projector, large movie screen and Bose speakers are also available for lakeside fun in the evening! Guest access You can park on one of 3 levels. At the top of our cottage there is a 4 car parking space just past our main driveway. Down the hill, there is a flat area for parking that is close to the stairway to the cottage. Finally there is a parking area on the lower level next to the cottage. You will have access to the entire main cottage - upper and lower levels, wrap around cedar deck, with a BBQ, casual seating and a dining table. As well as the fire pit area, hammock, and dock with access to canoes, kayaks and a paddle board. There are also 300 feet of private lake shoreline. Other things to note Cell service is weak in the cottage, but accessible from the decks and upper parking level. Sometimes it’s a good thing to disconnect. There is a landline that is completely reliable for necessary calls. There is no dishwasher - but the sink has a stunning view of the lake. It’s a great place to slowdown and talk to the other person washing or drying! There is a long set of stairs to access the cottage if you are visiting in the winter and need to park at the upper level.
