The Basilica of Saint Anthony from the 13th century (The Basilica of the Saint), characterized by Byzantine-style domes and valuable works of art, hosts the tomb of the saint to whom it is dedicated, a point of reference for the Catholic world. If you really want to visit and fully enjoy Padua, then you absolutely can't miss its most famous attractions: Giotto's Scrovegni Chapel Basilica of Saint Anthony Prato Della Valle Palazzo della Ragione and the ancient Market Under the Salone Botanical Garden Pedrocchi Café All the squares in the historic center (the most famous is Piazza Dei Signori with its imposing Clock Tower) The Cathedral Basilica Palazzo del Bo (university headquarters) The Specola Tower And many other attractions... However, Padua is much, much more: During the day or in the evening, it's fantastic to stroll through the streets of the center, getting lost among the alleys and hidden corners of the city, among the historic streets and squares, among the typical venues and street food. Notes: If you plan to stay for 2/3 days, I recommend taking a tour of the Euganean Hills (20km away from the center of Padua) and/or visiting the thermal baths of Abano Terme and Montegrotto Terme (famous for thermal treatments and mud baths, they welcome guests from all over Europe), and Petrarch's House in Arquà Petrarca (one of the oldest and most beautiful villages in Italy).
