Find relaxation, lots of nature and fresh air in the Wendland-Hideaway on the outskirts of Gartow on Lake Gartow. The proximity to nature is noticeable. In the wooded environment, the vacation home is in a quiet location with beautiful trees. It is built in typical Danish timber construction, and is equipped with 3 bedrooms, a large living room with fireplace, a fitted kitchen and space for a maximum of 4 – 6 people. The large terrace is oriented in a westerly direction, where you can experience sunsets and beautiful barbecue evenings. Notes on additional costs and fees: Bed linen and towels can be ordered from the property management for a fee if required. Electricity/water/heating are included. A parking space is on the premises. One dog (up to 10 kg) or 2 small dogs can be booked. €100 deposit is due in advance and must be transferred with the rent. The house has bedrooms with one 180 x 200 cm bed and two 140 x 200 cm beds. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, induction stovetop, oven, fridge-freezer, toaster, egg cooker, kettle and other kitchen utensils such as a soda stream. You will find a separate room for suitcases and cabinets. If necessary, a small safe is installed there. The shower room is equipped with toilet, floor-level shower, infrared heating and sink. In the living room, in addition to TV, DVD, CD and radio, there is also a fireplace, a seating area with armchairs and a breakfast table that can be extended to accommodate up to six people. Free Wi-Fi is of course available. The roof area is equipped with 4 Velux windows, 1 x remote controlled, for light and fresh air. All rooms have a new infrared heater for the cool days and can be darkened by means of light-tight pleated blinds. Books, CDs and reading about the surroundings are available for our guests. Outside you will find the parking lot directly on the property, so you have short distances to the house and the garden area. At the back of the house is a large terrace with patio furniture and loungers and a gas grill. A garden shed is available so that you can safely park your bicycles or those belonging to the vacation home. Dogs are also welcome, please coordinate with FEWO if your four-legged friend weighs more than 10 kg and/or there are several. Thank you. Lake Gartow is within walking distance, the nearest swimming spot, also for your pet, is not far away. The lake is suitable for many water sports or for cycling, jogging and walking on the circular path. A lap around the lake is about 6.5 km. Viewpoints and observation towers are available for bird and animal enthusiasts. Gastronomic areas, playgrounds, a skating facility, rental of sailboats, canoes and pedal boats can be found at the other end of the lake, directly in the town of Gartow. For our guests in the "Hideaway" there are two smaller hidden swimming lakes (one with very clear water is well suited for small "water rats"), about 4 km from the vacation home. The information about this is available in the vacation home – as our insider tip, so to speak. Gartow itself is a place characterized by rural tranquility and the warmth of the Wendlanders. You will find beautiful half-timbered houses, the impressive "Bernstorffersche Schloss" and the St. Georg Church. In addition, all things of daily use are available and also a health food store is available. Particularly noteworthy is the "Wendland Therme" about 500 m away. Here you can also swim, sauna and relax in the spa on cooler days. A gym and many other family sports facilities complete the offer. There are special opportunities for animal and bird enthusiasts at almost any time of the year. In the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley biosphere reserve, many bird species such as the lapwing are native or in transit, for which you will find some bird watching stations. The network of cycle paths is very well developed, and the road traffic is quite clear. The "Hideaway" is the ideal starting point for all local excursions. The small towns of Schnackenburg, Lüchow, Dannenberg, Hitzacker or Lüneburg invite you to a day trip. Along or across the Elbe you can reach the cities of Lenzen, Dömitz, Wittenberge and Salzwedel.
