Find relaxation, lots of nature and fresh air in the Wendland-Hideaway on the outskirts of Gartow on Lake Gartower. The proximity to nature is noticeable. In the wilderness, the cottage is in a quiet location with beautiful trees. It is built in typical Danish wooden construction, and is equipped with 3 bedrooms, a large living room with fireplace, a fitted kitchen and space for a maximum of 4 – 6 people. The large terrace is west-facing, where you can experience sunsets and beautiful barbecue evenings. Additional Fees & Fees Notes: Bedlinnens and towels can be ordered for a fee via the property administration if necessary. Electricity/water/heating is included. There is a parking space on the property. One dog (up to 10kg) or 2 small dogs can be booked. 100€ deposit is due in advance and must be transferred with the rent. The house has bedrooms with one 180 x 200 cm, and two 140 x 200 cm wide beds. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, induction hob, oven, fridge and freezer combination, toaster, egg cooker, kettle and other kitchen utensils such as a soda stream. You will find a separate room for suitcases and cabinets. If necessary, a small safe is installed. The shower room is equipped with toilet, floor-level shower, infrared heating and sink. In the living room, in addition to TV, DVD, CD and radio, there is also a fireplace, a sitting area with armchair and a breakfast table that can be extended to up to six people. Free Wi-Fi is a matter of course. The roof area is equipped with 4 velux windows, 1 x remote controlled, for light and fresh air. All rooms have a new infrared heater for the cool days and can be darkened by light-tight pleated blinds. Books, CDs and reading about the area are available for our guests. In the outdoor area you will find the parking space directly on the property, so you have short distances to the house and the garden area. In the back of the house is a large terrace with patio furniture and loungers and a gas grill. A garden house is available so you can safely park your bikes or bicycles belonging to the cottage. Dogs are also welcome, please coordinate with APARTMENT if your four-legged friend should weigh more than 10kg and/or there are several. Thank you very much. Lake Gartower is within walking distance, the nearest swimming spot, also for your pet, is not far away. The lake is suitable for many water sports or for cycling, jogging and walking on the circular path. A lap around the lake is about 6.5 km. Viewpoints and observation towers are available for bird and animal enthusiasts. Gastronomic areas, playgrounds, a skater complex, rental of sailboats, canoes and pedal boats can be found at the other end of the lake, right on the village of Gartow. For our guests in the "Hideaway" there are two smaller hidden swimming lakes (one with very clear water is well suited for small "water lovers"), about 4 km from the cottage. The information is available in the vacation home – so to speak as our secret tip. Gartow itself is a place characterized by rural tranquility and a warmth of the Wendländer. You will find beautiful half-timbered houses, the impressive "Bernstorffersche Schloss" and the St. Georg Church. For this, all everyday necessities are available and there is also an organic shop. Particularly noteworthy is the "Wendland Therme" about 500 m away. Here you can also bathe, sauna and relax in the spa on cooler days. A gym and many other family sports complete the offer. There are special opportunities for animal and bird enthusiasts interested in almost every season. In the Biosphere Reserve of Lower Saxony Elbtalaue, many bird species such as the Kiebitz are native or in transit, for this you will find some bird watching stations. The network of bike paths is very well developed, or the road traffic is quite clear. The "Hideaway" is the ideal starting point for all resident excursions. The small towns of Schnackenburg, Lüchow, Dannenberg, Hitzacker or Lüneburg invite you to take a day trip. Along or via the Elbe you can reach the cities of Lenzen, Dömitz, Wittenberge and Salzwedel.
