There are also several hiking trails leading to the summit of Donačka Gora. One of the most popular routes starts from the village of Tepanje (a 50-minute drive). There is a popular restaurant a 5-minute drive from the accommodation (Gostišče Pod Goro) and the closest town is Rogatec (an 11-minute drive). Known for its wine production the hills surrounding Rogatec are dotted with vineyards where visitors can sample and purchase the local wine. There are also a number of wineries across the border in Croatia including Vinarija Zdolc - ekološka vina ( a 30-minute drive).
