The space Rooted in more than two centuries of family history, Villa Domenico is your home from home in Slovenian Istria. Dating to around 1790, the residence has been restored with restraint and deep respect for its origins. Original stone, timber and iron are complemented by natural finishes, carefully curated interiors and refined contemporary comforts. Reserved exclusively for up to six guests, the 220 m² villa unfolds across two floors. Three individually appointed luxurious bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, are joined by a spa bathroom on the base floor and a modern bathroom on the first floor, an inviting garden lounge with a private library, and three kitchens conceived for different rhythms of the day. The courtyard kitchen opens onto the enclosed courtyard and secluded Mediterranean garden, where long lunches give way to quiet evenings beneath the starry night sky. Villa Domenico's private wellness is intimate and considered, attuned to the body, rooted in a sense of place and connected to the landscape. The spa bathroom, sauna room and enclosed courtyard with a hot are all linked, letting guests move naturally between water, warmth and open air. Robes, towels, toiletries and tea are at hand, with fast Wi-Fi and the year-round courtyard kitchen close by. Guest access Guests are welcome to enjoy all areas presented in the listing, including the entire villa, courtyard and Mediterranean garden, courtyard kitchen, private sauna, seasonal hot tub, balconies, detached workspace, outdoor living areas, parking and guest storage. The property accommodates one booking at a time and is never shared with other guests. For safety and animal welfare, only the hen enclosure and the technical plant room are not accessible. We believe hospitality is personal, thoughtful and never intrusive. Throughout your stay, we remain discreetly available whenever needed. As a family-run heritage relais, we make brief daily visits to tend the Mediterranean garden, care for the resident chickens, maintain the hot tub and prepare the outdoor areas whenever changing weather calls for it. These visits are intentionally discreet and carried out with great respect for your privacy.
