From Tryavna or Gabrovo, the road is easy, but the last 4 minutes through the village are on an unpaved stretch and difficult to drive on. Most guests (99%) make it right up to the house 🏆, but some prefer to park by the village spring and take a short 200-meter walk. Either way, it's good to know in advance. Welcome to @BalkansSerendipity – a cozy hideaway in the peaceful Balkan forest, perfect for slow summer days, creativity, and meaningful connection. 🌿🌞 This isn’t just a place to stay – it’s a soulful retreat for nature lovers, musicians, and anyone seeking a break from city life. A space to unwind, reconnect, and savor the simple things with presence and ease. The fully equipped chalet feels like your own forest home. Outside, enjoy a garden with views, a kid-friendly pool, BBQ, and clay pizza oven – perfect for summer evenings under the stars. Inside, relax in the tea, coffee & music room, cook by the fire, or enjoy the movie nights with the projector. Upstairs, three cozy bedrooms and a sunny reading nook invite you to rest and create. We care deeply for the land and our guests. The home is cleaned to high standards using gentle, eco-friendly products. Our pool isn’t big, but it’s great for kids to splash and adults to chill – designed with fun and relaxation in mind. Balkans Serendipity is for those who value nature, creativity, and the positive energy of a space made with love. And, ofc... we are Pet-friendly 🐶🐱 Guest access You will have access to the entire house and a fully enclosed garden. Other things to note Main things to consider: -The road 200 meters before the house is not in perfect condition. Nevertheless, all cars have managed to pass. Please note that this house is located at the entrance of the forest. - The tap water is not drinkable, however it is used for washing up and showering. There are 2 natural springs in the village that the locals use, or you could bring your own bottled water. - Smoking is not allowed inside the house, but only in the outdoors areas. - The pool is available in the warm months - June 1 'till October 10 - at all times unless there is maintenance. - Pets are allowed inside the house, however not inside the bedrooms. - Our friendly cat Juanito (the black cat) roams around the garden and sometimes inside the house, so keep the doors of the kitchen and bedrooms closed to avoid him exploring where he shouldn't! - We advise for being mindful with the water spent during showers as the area has become prone to droughts in the last years. - If arriving by car, there's a parking spot in front of the house. The road to the house may appear narrow and bumpy, but all types of cars can pass. - We keep the cabin super clean but we don’t spray with heavy chemicals, we use only organic and eco friendly products, which means you may encounter by surprise a little spider or a lady bug 🐞. It is not common to see them but you may see one. If you arrive and feel that you want to leave your car in the centre of the village, where the asphalt finishes, then we can help you out with the luggage transportation (200m walk).
