Our cabin is located in a natural mountain setting. Despite regular professional cleaning and pest control, occasional insects, leaves, dirt, or outdoor debris may be present. This is common for homes in wooded areas and should be expected when staying in nature. While this isn’t a new build and may have a few quirks and imperfections, it offers something better in our opinion. True privacy, seclusion, and a peaceful setting in the mountains that’s hard to find. Enjoy the entire place to yourself, minus the owner’s closet which is in the king bedroom on the bottom floor, and the area under the house where the electrical is kept. Other things to note ~ENTRY~ The front door is equipped with an electronic keypad, we will send you a personalized door code before check-in. ~INTERNET~ ALL Smart TVs. Please keep in mind that Wi-Fi can change in speed at times due to us being in the mountains. You cannot unplug the WiFi router under any circumstance. $575 fee will apply plus the cost of having someone go out there and plug back in. ~Fire Pit~ We have a great new gas fire pit for your enjoyment by the outdoor deck. Please make sure this is turned off after use for fire safety. This experience is unlike anything in the Smokys and you and your family will love it! We also have a wood burning fire-pit outside in the backyard. ~NO PARTIES~ If you are found to be having a party or have more than the number of registered guests at the property you will immediately be evicted by the county sheriff's department. Monetary damages will apply if this rule is broken. Please communicate to the host if you are thinking of having extra guests over during the day. ~BEDROOMS~ There are 2 king bedrooms, 1 double queen bunkbed, 1 queen bedroom with a trundle bed in the theater room, and 2 couches in the living room which can accommodate about 12 people. 2 King Beds, 3 Queen Beds, 1 trundle bed, and 2 couches. Total of 6 beds and 2 couches. ~KITCHEN~ Fully custom-built stocked kitchen with a refrigerator, water filter, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, tea kettle, pots, pans, cups, plates, utensils, standard & Keurig coffee makers, etc. Stainless steel appliances. YES we have plenty of coffee for you and your guests :) ~LAUNDRY~ Full-size washer and dryer, ironing board, and iron located in the downstairs next to the kitchen. ~AMENITIES~ Our cleaning service provides start-up supplies including: paper towels, dish soap, dishwashing detergent, trash can liners, toilet paper, shampoo, and soap. Depending on the length of your stay, you may need to purchase additional items when the initial supply runs out. ~GAMES (Game room)~ Corn hole, horseshoes and more is located in the backyard of the cabin with lots of board games by the play room with the arcade. We also have a few books in this area. The host acts solely as an agent of Kota Capital LLC. ~REFUNDS~ We do not offer refunds for weather, bugs, pest, animals, natural disasters, construction, bugs, rodents, Wifi, sulfur smell, or noise. We are located in the mountains so please check weather for your dates to plan accordingly. Wifi may be slower at times since we are in the mountains. ~PEST CONTROL~ We have a great company that regularly services the cabin for bugs, pest, spiders, and animals etc. However, we are in the mountains and cannot stop mother nature all the time. Especially during the fall season, lady bugs and beetles are very popular in the Smoky Mountains. You may notice some dead or alive bugs around the cabin, especially by the sunny areas like window sills. We promise that we do a very thorough cleaning but cannot promise they wont be present during your stay. We do have a vacuum in the laundry room if you want to clean them up during your stay. We promise to do our best to make sure they are cleaned up before your arrival but sometimes mother nature has a mind of its own! ~GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK~ Weather-related road and facility closures may change throughout the day. Please note, chains and/or four wheel drive may be needed during the winter months for our cabin. Note. *We are on a well so you might get the smell of sulfur in the water which is completely normal in the Smokys and safe. We have regular maintance on our well and have replaced a water heater to help the smell. Please remember that you're staying in a home, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action as soon as possible, but there is no one living on-site 24/7.
