Description

Toscana 6 is a recently renovated apartment by the well-known Via Veneto, that of Dolce Vita fame, in the Ludovisi district, north of the main train station in Rome at Roma Termini, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Via Toscana is part of a grid of streets lying across the road (Via Boncompagni) from the American Embassy in Rome, with buildings designed and completed in the first few years of the 20th century. The space This flat on the third floor was built in 1907 and still preserves its original cementine tiles (concrete and hexagone-shaped, very sought after when original) or barrel vault ceilings in some of the rooms, a testament to the care with which the area was built. The building is equipped with an elevator. Thanks to an extra bed in the main bedroom and two twin beds that convert to a double, the Toscana 6 can accommodate up to 5 people. With its sleek, contemporary look, this accommodation will appeal to younger travelers who want modern amenities wherever they go. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare meals from scratch, including a dishwasher, oven, induction hob, fridge, Nespresso machine, toaster and microwave. There is also a washer and dryer, and the renovated bathroom has a large shower. This property comes with independent heating, and Air Conditioning in every rooms. Guests will be able to connect to their favorite streaming service (if available in Italy) through the Smart TV. A free Wifi connection is offered. We would like to point out how we are managing a similar property on the ground floor of this same building: an ideal solution if you’re looking to travel with a larger group but are concerned about privacy (example: you’re traveling with your parents, or with a group of friends….). We kept for last the really unique feature of this apartment: the common terrace shared with the neighbors, complete with tables, lounge chairs and more, on top of the building. You’re free to use it during your stay between 8 am to 11 pm. We’d like to point out how From Home to Rome is not in any way responsible for the access to the terrace, which could be closed on occasion depending on the arrangements of the building manager. Roof terraces were historically thought of as social spaces, and this building has brought back a long-standing tradition of using them as places for meeting other residents. While they were usually accessed to hang one laundry or to have cookouts, now they’re mostly an extension of one’s apartment, and in this particular case this becomes an extra living room, just… in the open! This explains why certain rules have to be observed: opening times, for instance, refraining from making excessive noise, and respecting quiet hours and the building’s residents. By placing an advance request, the terrace can also be reserved in the evening at a special rate, but keep in mind that the schedule could be already full, as this outdoor space can be rented out for private events. Drop us a line if interested, we’ll be happy to get back to you as soon as possible! Guest access The guests can access to the entire apartment described. The Common Roof Terrace is shared with the other neighbors of the building. It's open every day from 8 am to 11 pm. The Common Roof Terrace which could be closed on occasion depending on the arrangements of the building manager or private events. Other things to note This apartment is thoroughly cleaned, aired, and sanitized in all its parts according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health. Sheets and bedspreads (changed for each guest) are washed at high temperatures by specialized companies. Cleaning products containing 70% alcohol are used. Upon request, for an additional fee, we can arrange transfers to/from airports, train stations, and the Port of Civitavecchia. More information will be available after booking. This apartment is managed by an agency, Clickbook srl/FromHometoRome, based in Rome. By booking the apartment, the guest acknowledges that additional services (such as cleaning management, welcome pack, customer assistance) are provided by Clickbook srl on their behalf and are included in the Online Accommodation Booking Rate.
