Description

Cynnewille is located in the Frisian countryside in a natural environment and is the place to relax and enjoy the distant view over the countryside. The space The holiday home is nicely decorated and has a wood stove. Other things to note In 2011 we came to live in this location. The farmhouse and detached adjacent building were both a construction property at the time. We then converted the adjacent property into a temporary house. At the time of rebuilding the farmhouse, we lived here with great pleasure for 5 years. Due to the unique location in the countryside, the tranquility, surroundings and views, we have not been on vacation elsewhere since then. It feels like a vacation here every day, even after a day of hard work. In the meantime, we have been living in the farmhouse for a few years and would like to share the feeling of tranquility and freedom with you. For that reason, we have completely converted the adjacent building into a holiday home where you can hopefully have the same experiences as us. Cynnewille is located in the north of the Netherlands in the village of Ie where the Vlas Museum is located. This is the only museum in the Netherlands where the processing of flax to linen can be seen. If you are in Ie, you can also walk around the picturesque village with a protected village face (and playground). At the special buildings, signs of the Waddentour can be found with information about the history. The Flaakspaad at the edge of the village is also worth a nice walk. Finally, you can relax on one of the benches of the Flaaksplein. Near Ie is the Lauwersmeer National Park. In earlier times, fresh and salty water flowed together into the Lauwerszee. Fear of flooding led to the construction of a dam in 1969. On the former seabed, a beautiful new landscape, a real bird paradise. The nature in the Lauwersmeer is so special that the area is designated as a National Park. In Lauwersmeer National Park you can hike and bike beautifully. After the construction of the dam, the village of Lauwersoog was created. From here you can leave by boat to the island of Schiermonnikoog, one of the wildest, unspoiled places in the Netherlands. Shaped by sea streams, wind and bulging sand. The historical town of Dokkum is with its strongholds, the Admiralty, the canals with its beautiful buildings, the Boniface chapel and the IJsfontein is 11 km away. The city of Dokkum is known for the coziness of the shopping streets, terraces and beer breweries. The Wadden Sea is at a distance of 10 km. The Wadden Sea is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a Natura 2000 area and was named the most beautiful nature reserve in the Netherlands by the Dutch public. The village of Eanjum, one of the oldest villages in Friesland, is 5 km away. The village originated around the year 1000 and here, among other things, a supermarket is located.
