Description
Cynnewille is located in the Frisian countryside in a natural environment and is the place to relax and enjoy the distant view over the farmlands. The space The vacation home is nicely decorated and equipped with a wood-burning stove. Other things to note In 2011, we came to live at this location. The farmhouse and detached adjacent building were both a ruin at the time. We then converted the adjacent building into a temporary residence. Here, at the time of rebuilding the farmhouse, we lived for 5 years with great pleasure. Due to the unique location in the countryside, the tranquility, surroundings and views, we have not been on vacation anywhere else since. It feels like a vacation here every day, even after a day of hard work. We have been living in the farmhouse for a number of years now and would like to share the feeling of peace and freedom with you. For this reason, we have completely converted the adjacent building into a vacation home where you can hopefully have the same experiences as we do. Cynnewille is located in the north of the Netherlands in the village of Ie where the Vlasmuseum is located. This is the only museum in the Netherlands where the processing of flax to linen can be seen. If you are in Ie, take a walk through the picturesque village with a protected village view (and playground). Signs from the Waddentour can be found at the special buildings with information about the history. The Flaakspaad on the outskirts of the village is also worth a nice walk. Finally, you can relax on one of the benches of the Flaaksplein. Close to Ie is the Lauwersmeer National Park. In earlier times, fresh and salt water flowed into each other in the Lauwerszee. Fear of flooding led to the construction of a dam in 1969. On the former seabed, a beautiful new landscape was created, a real bird paradise. The nature in the Lauwersmeer is so special that the area has been designated as a National Park. In Lauwersmeer National Park, you can enjoy hiking and biking. After the construction of the dam, the village of Lauwersoog was created. From here, you can take a boat to the island of Schiermonnikoog, one of the wildest, most pristine places in the Netherlands. Formed by sea currents, wind and drifting sand. The historic city of Dokkum, with its strongholds, the Admiralty, the canals with its beautiful buildings, the Bonifatius Chapel and the Ice Fountain, is 11 km away. The city of Dokkum is known for the coziness of the shopping streets, terraces and beer breweries. The Wadden Sea is 10 km away. The Wadden Sea is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is a Natura 2000 area and was voted the most beautiful nature reserve in the Netherlands by the Dutch public. The village of Eanjum, one of the oldest villages in Friesland, is 5 km away. The village originated around the year 1000 and there is a supermarket located here.
