Small older home updated with central heat and air, washer/dryer, dishwasher and gas range. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms except the front bedroom, which has a tower fan. The master, kitchen, and front bedroom have accordion doors. Plenty of parking directly in front of the house Gas grill and outdoor seating in the fenced backyard. There is a covered deck with seating in the front. 30 minutes north to Houston/medical center, 30 minutes south to Surfside beach, 45 minutes to Galveston Island. Quiet rural setting. Emphasis on rural - there are cows and horses next door and wildlife in the area so if you are uncomfortable with the idea of seeing a snake, bugs, spiders, raccoons, possums, or armadillos, or hearing coyotes howling and roosters crowing, this might not be a good choice for you. There are also managed bee hives on premises- not close to this house- but just something to be aware of. Nothing fancy but cozy & comfortable! The house is off a long, private, crushed concrete drive, which is off a quiet blacktop road. Guests have access to entire house with exception of the attached garage. There are steps up to the front deck at the entrance. There is also a smaller porch and stairs out the back door off the kitchen. You don’t have to interact at all but we do live next door if you need anything or issues arise. The house sits in the middle of several acres off a quiet country road. The driveway and road are good for walking or jogging. The location of the Little House makes it a great place to enjoy birdwatching (being on major migratory pathways), and a peaceful retreat for reading, writing, or artistic pursuits. No public transportation but area is served by Uber if needed. Access to dedicated high speed internet/WiFi. • Firestick connected to the TV and available for use. Cable access via Dish. There is a DVD player and a ton of DVD’s for those wanting a nostalgic experience. • Our three dogs & their cat groupie roam the property freely and love greeting new guests (at least the dogs do) If you keep the gate closed however they will not have access to the back yard. They love people and are very friendly! 🐶 HOWEVER, if you are not “dog people” we will try to keep them away from the house
