Home in Gloucester

Private room , king size bed with bathroom inside room (bathroom has shower) and private balcony with water view and two rocking chairs , Smart flat screen tv, small refrigerator on balcony, ,backyard use, backyard grill. We are in the country very rural, quiet, waterfront home . We offer a substantial breakfast. Two cats in house they are not allowed in guests rooms. .We don't charge a pet fee however please keep pets leashed outside due to chickens . The space The house was built in 2000 on the Core sound waterfront .20 min by boat to Cape lookout, 30 minutes to Beaufort, room to park boat if you bring one .Boat launch 15 away in Harkers Island. Backyard is level grassy acre with outdoor hot water shower. We install in Intex style above ground pool in the summer . Lounge chairs small backyard beach for sitting only too many oysters to swim. Dead end street bike and walking friendly large driveway chickens geese peacocks ducks Guest access most of house and all of yard...wander about ,we are a very laid back country home . quiet pets welcome. Please do us the courtesy of making sure your dog is leashed in the backyard as our chickens,geese and peacocks room free and may be hard to resist to chasing for the average dog. if you have a barker they must go with you during the day for our guests comfort. My home is a tall plantation colonial house with 8 steps to the entry and 12 more steps to the bedrooms , which are on the second floor. During your stay I live in this house and am a retired dental hygienist .I am very friendly and social, I enjoy conversing with all my guests but would never intrude on your privacy if you preferred less interaction with me or other guests. The house is big enough with my guest bedrooms on the opposite side of the house. Other things to note no public transportation to speak of. An Uber from town would be at least 50.00. Its advised to have a car. We are pet friendly however you are renting a room not a kennel. If you have a barker he will have to be not left in the room unsupervised. We have the comfort of our other guests to consider.
