The space The " Gathering Place" is a beautiful home with a huge fenced in backyard. We have put much thought into the renovation in and outside for comfortable memories for all generations! Huge kitchen, for meals, and great for playing family games. You are free to bake cookies and make memories with your loved ones. This spacious house was designed with you and your family in mind. With two large rooms on the first floor and bathroom. The master bedroom upstairs , large enough for another two beds for the littles!! Another bedroom with twin beds and dedicated bathroom with whirlpool , ALL upstairs!! You will be so comfortable during your stay while getting much needed rest and relaxation(R&R). All rooms are very comfortable & cozy! Step outside the back door into your private patio for morning coffee with a huge yard to play games. Outside Fire-pit. As owners, we use our home frequently and those areas are considered the owners space, which means it is locked at all times. ** **We highly recommend all guest purchase travel insurance for unexpected circumstances. ** **The neighborhood is quiet, peaceful and nestled between HWY 41/94 and the tollway/ HWY 294, where you can assess dining, shopping and entertainment, however, there are local gems, i.e., restaurants, antiques and shopping, in Waukegan and Gurnee. ** Try the best barbeque, Jamaican oxtails, beans and rice or local pizza. The theater, and spa are local. NEW smoothie and fresh juice restaurant downtown Waukegan. A brewery downtown, Soul food and take a walk to the pier to have ice-cream and sandwiches. Or walk along the pier and relax. Also, you can schedule a selfie picture in a nearby gallery across from the Genesee Theater or visit pubs or Mexican food walking distance. FUN FUN! Always be aware of your surroundings. Other things to note ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: -The thermostat is locked, and the temperature is set at 72 degrees. But you can change it but be sure to change it back before leaving! Should you require it to be warmer or cooler there are portable heaters and fans throughout the house. The house is located less than a mile from Lake Michigan and therefore expect cooler temps. - Garbage service: The garbage receptacles are kept on the outside of the house it gets picked up every Wednesday a company comes out each week to enter the garbage and recycle cans. - Landscape service. We have a landscape company that comes out two times per month which includes snow removal. We will let you know when to have your cars removed should there be a snowstorm.
