Beautiful Nature Lodge, Private Pool, Large Garden

Relax in this new lodge, 900 meters from the beautiful beach of Grande Anse in Deshaies. Located in the heart of a tropical forest, its bio-climatic architecture and red wood construction make it a home in tune with nature while offering you maximum comfort. The space Located at the end of a private road, quiet, in a large property, the new lodge consists of two air-conditioned 14 m2 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with walk-in shower and its own separate suspended toilet. The central room, 32 m2, houses the kitchen and living room with TV area. This very open architecture allows natural ventilation of living spaces. The 50 m2 deck with its private pool (5 m x 2.50 m) and a 15 m2 covered terrace serve as a place to relax and a dining area. A sea view and a forest view will immerse you in nature. Kitchen is fully stocked: Dishwasher, microwave, traditional oven, induction stove, fridge-freezer, Senseo coffee maker, piston coffee maker, toaster, kettle, washing machine. Below, a private garden overlooks a ravine with its stream where birdsong resounds. Guest access Guests have the entire lodge to themselves and can walk in their private (but unfenced) 1,000 m2 garden and also take the trail that goes down to the small river below. Other things to note We bought the land in 2018. Thirty years earlier, it was an old farmland where the jungle had taken over. We started making machete trails to assess the topography of the place. We were then able to clear and set up the buildings (3 today). Trees of noble species, such as Courbaril, Mahogany and Poirier Péyi growing on the ground, allowed us to make beams and boards. There were also large volcanic rocks. It was with these materials that we partly built the lodges and landscaped the land. We left three large mango trees to keep the area cool and replanted plants and shrubs around the buildings. Much of the land has simply been cleared and the trees preserved. Below the buildings, a "trace" (trail) leads to a small stream where there are cocoa and vanilla plants, cannon woods, breadfruit trees, cheese trees and mango trees. Today, in 2024, the Lodge is built and ready for your stay.
