La Maison du Bassin – Grand St Bernard – Orsières

It is in our family home that we invite you to come and spend your holidays, in the heart of a small mountain village in the Valais Alps. The house is spacious (around 350m2), lovingly restored and allows us to accommodate around ten people comfortably. The house is perfect for accommodating an entire family, a group or several couples, everyone will be able to find their own space and privacy. The house is spacious (around 350m2), lovingly restored and allows us to accommodate around ten people comfortably. The house is perfect for accommodating an entire family, a group or several couples, everyone will be able to find their own space and privacy. The house is divided into three floors: On the ground floor: an entrance, a fully equipped kitchen opening onto a large dining room where all guests can share their meal comfortably and giving direct access to the garden. You will also enjoy a large living room where you can chat, play and read, as well as a first shower room with WCx On the intermediate floor: a double bedroom (180x200) en suite with library, another bedroom en suite also with a double bed, a second bathroom with Wc. The top floor also offers two bedrooms with double beds (180x200), a lounge area with Tv, an office space but also a large mezzanine with an additional double bed. Outside you can relax in the shade or in the sun in our large garden in summer… In the basement you will also have access to our laundry room with washing machine and dryer. We do not have parking directly in front of the house but several spaces are possible free of charge 200 meters from the house. Favorite for the village of Orsières: In winter, marked snowshoe trails are the main activity offered from the village. The nearby ski fields offer varied skiing for all levels. Once again Orsières is an ideal place to stay because less than twenty minutes from the resorts of Champex-Lac, La Fouly, Vichères, Espace Super Saint-Bernard and even Verbier les Quatre Vallées, one of the largest and most beautiful ski areas in 'Europe. In summer: Countless leisure opportunities are offered but hikers will find their biggest playground. More than four hundred kilometers of trails are available to walkers of all levels. You can take advantage of the educational trails, or climb one or other of the neighboring mountains, up to the 3901 meters of the Aiguille d’Argentière, the highest point of the commune. There are numerous sports facilities, with tennis courts, poly sports halls and paths for mountain biking.
