Cascade Escapes is a cozy A-frame cabin tucked away in the Cascade foothills on 5 wooded acres. Dog and family-friendly, there's a play structure, two fire pits , back deck with hot tub, a stand-by generator just in case and RV hook up if you need to bring more space. With the Cascade Loop 3 minutes away, this is the perfect jumping off point for the mountains and hikes within easy driving distance. The space Cascade Escapes is 55 minutes from the North Cascades National Park and an hour-and-a-half from Mt. Baker ski area. Scenic Chuckanut Drive is less than 30 minutes away. Deception Pass is 45 minutes away if a daytrip to Whidbey Island is on your to-do list and historic La Conner is only 30 minutes out. Gateway golf course and shopping in Mount Vernon and Burlington are near at hand, about 20 minutes to either. The cabin itself has lots of room to spread out and relax. Out back you'll find a bbq grill, patio table and chairs, a vegetable/herb garden you can "graze" in. Deer visit regularly along with ravens and hummers and the occasional owl. You'll find board games, playing cards, puzzles and lots of books for those lazy hours you have scheduled! The front bedroom has a queen size memory foam bed with two large built-in drawers, a closet and coat rack. The one full bathroom is across the hall from this bedroom. Large capacity washer and dryer with laundry supplies. Plenty of large bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. Second bedroom on the main floor has a full size futon with a storage hutch and a small closet. There's also a bean bag chair with a handle so you can lounge like a pro anywhere in house. The match to this pair is in the living room. The kitchen features an island/breakfast bar combo with seating for three on big comfy stools. The kitchen is fully stocked with any kitchen tool or pan or dish or cup you may need. If we don't have it and you need it, let us know and we'll have it when you come back. The dining room table has a bench and four high backed chairs. The living room features a loveseat with two electric recliners and a groovy swivel chair and ottoman. There's also a beanbag chair and lots of blankets and throw pillows. Upstairs loft has an office area with two desks and the third bedroom. Third bedroom has a king size memory foam bed with two large built-in drawers and several shelves. Each nightstand has three drawers, a night light and USB & outlet ports built in and tucked away under a sliding top. Whole house and exterior sound system, blue tooth capable.
