Description
Nestled within 15 secluded acres, our tiny home is more than a place to stay, but a unique experience designed for creatives, couples, and those yearning to escape the hurry of everyday life. Our 125 sq ft tiny home is a sanctuary where time slows down. Our hope is connections deepen, creativity flourishes, & the soul finds rest here. Just a short drive from Raleigh, this cozy retreat offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful, country setting & easy access to amenities and attractions. The space Crafted with love and attention, our tiny house was hand built by Rob to help you connect with something bigger than yourself. It sits in our backyard, but is positioned to feel secluded. Come rest on the tiny house's deep porch overlooking our barn, silo, and 20 acre pond. Delight in our two friendly dogs and our free range chickens. Walk our property and discover painted rocks, metal butterflies, rustic bikes, colorful sculptures, and a huge sunflower mural. Our property is full of inspiration and awash with many photo opportunities. Our tiny house offers: -a high quality queen size mattress and boxspring on a sturdy handmade wooden bed on the main floor -a lofted twin size bed, accessed by ladder -a full size flush toilet and copper sink -a private, magical outdoor shower -a small outside kitchenette with microwave, Keurig and coffee/tea, and small fridge stocked with snacks and drinks Our tiny house is conveniently located: -25 minutes from RDU airport -25 minutes from downtown Raleigh, PNC Arena, NC State University, and Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek -20 minutes from downtown Wake Forest -30 minutes from downtown Durham There are many nearby restaurants and the closest grocery store is 1.5 miles away. Guest access The tiny home is accessed by a private gravel driveway which adds to the tranquility and remoteness of our property and allows you to park a few steps from the front door. We offer self check-in via a key pad; you will be emailed your own personal code the day before arrival. Other things to note Before booking, please note: Our property is located at the end of a gravel road and the tiny house is accessed by a gravel path. The gravel road and path add to the tranquility, remoteness, and charm of our place. The tiny house is in our backyard, 50 yards from our house (see picture). Our dogs will come visit, but are friendly and will leave you alone if you tell them to. Our chickens roam our property. You might run into us doing chores in the yard, but we will respect your privacy. The private, outdoor shower is the only shower and operates really well as long as temperatures are above freezing. Don't worry; an outdoor shower is a ton of fun. Nothing will make you feel alive quite like a hot shower under the stars when it's 33 degrees out. There is a back door straight from the shower into the tiny house. There is no Wi-Fi or TV on purpose. We encourage our guests to be present and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. However, there is strong cell reception and you should have no trouble using a hotspot. We do not own the 20 acre pond that borders our property. Therefore there is no access to this pond, but it sure is pretty to look at. Guests are free to enjoy our barn and fire pit. Inside the barn, you will find carpet ball, jenga, and corn hole. If you would like to make a campfire, we do offer fire kits and s'more kits for a fee if you do not want to bring your own. Fire kits are $25 and include 10 pieces of wood, a fire starter, 2 magic packs that make the flames change colors, and a lighter. S'more kits are $8 and include a long roasting stick for each person and enough graham crackers, marshmallows, and candy bars to make 4 s'mores. 4 wipes are also included. Just message us if you'd like us to prepare a fire and/or s'more kit for you.
