Description
This cosy and charming log cabin sits in a quiet corner next to the main lodge building. The bedroom has a double bed and bunk bed, making it ideal for families or a group of friends. The cabin has private shower & toilet facilities and there's a fully equipped kitchen. An electric heater is available for chilly days. The south facing porch overlooks the campsite with additional seating. Laundry facilities are available against payment. Dogs are not permitted inside the Log Cabin. The space Hungry Hill Lodge and Campsite is situated in the heart of the Beara Peninsula, West Cork on the Wild Atlantic Way route. Next to camping pitches we have self-catering (family) rooms and glamping accommodation available. Hungry Hill Lodge and Campsite has all the amenities one needs for a relaxing holiday. It's a lovely place to stay and unwind. Taking in nature and enjoying the peace and tranquillity of this lovely area. We are ideally situated for touring the South West of Ireland including Mizen Head, Killarney National Park, the Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula and Dursey Island with Ireland’s only cable car. The site is an excellent base for walking (Beara Way) and cycling. Nearby are golf courses, riding stables, sailing, kayaking & fishing. However, bear in mind that we are located in a remote area! Our local grocery shop, The Pass, is within walking distance and is open daily. There are no pubs or restaurants within walking distance, but you'll find these in either Glengarriff or Castletownbere (both a 20-minutes' car drive from our campsite). From May till September there will be a coffee and food truck on our campsite, open during weekends only. Guest access Check-in is possible between 3pm and 8pm. Reception will close at 8pm. Late arrival is possible but no later than 10pm. This should be pre-booked and we charge a € 10,- late arrival fee between 8pm and 10pm. Check-out time is before 10am.
