A water park, vineyard, and 4 golf courses are within 5 miles. Located on the Albemarle sound, it is a nature lover's haven, enjoy breathtaking sunsets from our 500-foot pier. The space Why drive a long distance and split-up at a motel? With six bedrooms and 2 full baths located centrally, there is room to house 8 people comfortably, or a group of 6 can all enjoy an individual bed to themselves. Outfitted with high quality mattresses, there are 5 queen, 1 full, and 2 twin beds. It's the perfect size to get a group, large or small, together. As for dining, we have an antique dining table that has been in our family for 100 years. Fully renovated from a horse barn in 2024, the lodge leans into its roots with antiques and a rustic charm. There is even a porch swing in the living room, so you can swing anytime/all the time. Remarkable outdoor amenities include a generous covered porch which provides more than 1000 sf of outdoor living space for lounging in the white wooden rocking chairs. Guests can enjoy a game of cornhole while using the flat top grill. There's even a large, sunny yard for the kids to enjoy. A walk down past our private, natural pond and down the long pier takes you to the water's edge where you can enjoy nature, including ducks, osprey, heron, purple martins and possibly otters frolicking. Trout, bass, and mullet are abundant so bring your fishing poles, or possibly try crabbing with a chicken leg on a string and a dipnet (on the premises). On the property, see an abundance of other wildlife. Experience all that our property and wonderful community have to offer--book now to secure your dates! Guest access **Guests have access to the entire living portion of the lodge. There is a back portion that is completely separate, it is locked and used for farm storage. From time to time, we will access the garage portion from the rear of the building, but you have a deadbolt restricting access to the living portion. **The hostess resides in the main home (white house) on the premises. We ask that guest do not access the fenced in area around the main house. Our dogs use this, they will not hurt anyone (they are doodles). However, they are over-zealous and may knock young ones down. They also have little manners, wanting to play and refusing to behave. Basically, our pets have behavioral problems. As such, they remain in the fenced in area. **Guests have access to the rest of the property. Please be careful walking on the pier, no horseplaying and be vigilant of wildlife and plants (beware of leaves of three). **Park in the front of the barn and to the right under the oaks, but do not pull all the way into the crop (the field is my neighbors). **Please stay out of the field adjoining the property. This belongs to our neighbors, and there is usually a crop planted. **To the left of the barn is the septic tank, we ask that no one drive over it. ***We are so excited to share our lovely property, and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!!
