Casa Juana - All Rooms

This beautiful home is the perfect place to have an authentic Cusco experience. Your host mama Juana loves helping those who are learning spanish, as well as sharing information about the local area. Located in the San Cristobal Barrio area it is 2 blocks from Plaza de armas, and a short walking distance to San Blas and Huaca Sapantiana. Every room has a wonderful view over all of Cusco. The charming cobblestoned streets have many small cafes and corner stores. You will feel right at home. The space This lovely home has had many lives. When Juanas family all lived here, the downstairs area operated as a thriving pizza cafe! Now that her children have moved out it is set up perfectly to host you and your family. NOTE: Juana does not speak english. She is very good at using google translate and she loves to help people learn Spanish. If you need a host who speaks fluent english / are not interested in trying to use google translate, please do not book this home. Guest access This typical Cusco home has three floors. Your host mama Juana will also be living here in an upstairs apartment. You will have access to the bottom two floors which includes your own dedicated or ensuite bathroom, and access to the house kitchen. During your stay When you arrive, Juana will share her Whats App number, which is the best way to contact her during you stay. NOTE: Juana does not speak english. She is very good at using google translate and she loves to help people learn Spanish. If you need a host who speaks fluent english / are not interested in trying to use google translate, please do not book this home. Other things to note This booking is for all four bedrooms at a special rate. Whilst technically this house could fit 8 guests, the maximum that we would like to host is 6. If you would like to book just one or two rooms, please contact Juana directly or review her other listings. Juana loves to cook! If you would like breakfast or lunch added to your booking this can be arranged directly with Juana. The additional cost will be S/10 per person for breakfast, and S/20 for lunch, which you can pay in cash. Please let Juana know at least 24 hours beforehand if you would like, as well as any dietaries. There are several laundromats in short walking distance which cost approximately S/6-10 /kg, and can usually be picked up the same afternoon. The house has free wifi, however, if you need a stronger connection there are also several lovely cafes in walking distance which also have a strong and free connection. The house does not have central heating. Your room will be provided with warm blankets and an extra duvet if needed. The showers use local electric heating as is typical to Cusco (but which might be a bit unusual for others). If you have any problems, just ask Juana. No smoking please. Gracias!
