Description

For solo travelers looking for a peaceful stay, look no further. Our cozy little cabin awaits. Retreat to an air conditioned cabin (single bed) and settle into a simple but luxurious glamping experience for a refreshing escape. The tiny cabin at Hidden Spruce Acres is nestled on 9 acres of lush landscape surrounded by mature trees and a bubbling brook. Take a nature walk. Watch a movie. Read a book. Visit the animals. Take rest in the outdoor lounge. Soak in the hot tub. Relax, unwind & enjoy! The space Welcome to your cozy retreat! Located in a private and rural setting, our tiny cabin and camp sites offer a glamping style experience with comforts of a twin bed and a serene outdoor atmosphere. The tiny cabin itself is a cozy haven, minimally set, yet meticulously designed with your comfort in mind. With its simplistic rustic aesthetic, it is a glamping experience like no other. You’ll find the interior of the cabin warm and inviting with a plush twin-size bed where you can relax and unwind. And during the hot/humid times of year, you’ll have peace of mind knowing you can escape to your air conditioned room to relax and refresh. We provide an electric blanket for those chilly nights. Steps away from the cabin is an outdoor lounge equipped with outdoor speakers (bluetooth compatible) and flatscreen TV with Google Chromecast streaming. This space also features a coffee and tea bar with an assortment of complimentary snacks. Across the yard, just a short walk away, you will have access to a full bathroom (for your private use). Outside the cabin, nature beckons you to explore and indulge in various activities. Take a leisurely stroll around the property and visit the animals. Find an inviting spot to practice yoga or meditation. Sit down with a book and cup of tea and feel the stress melt away as the sound of birds chirping and chickens clucking carries your worries away. Occasionally, a rooster crowing in the distance. In the evening, gather around a crackling campfire to share stories and laughter with your loved ones. If you're in the mood for adventure, step out into the vibrant Connecticut River Valley and discover all that it has to offer. From top-rated restaurants and farmer's markets to the unique museums and historic attractions, there's so much to do. Immerse yourself in the vibrant festivals that celebrate the region's culture, or embark on outdoor adventures such as hiking, biking, or star-gazing (my favorite place to admire the stars is from the hot tub). The possibilities are endless! Experience the best of the Connecticut River Valley, less than 2 hours from Boston or 3-4 hours from NYC. Note: This an off-grid camp-like experience with limited electricity. During the summer months the cabin is equipped with a removable air conditioning unit and when it’s chilly an electric blanket is provided in the cabin. You'll need to pack and dress for the weather and bring a sense of adventure. My family and I (husband, 2 kids, dog, and 2 cats) are typically home and live in the main house. You will likely see us in the yard, by the fire pit, with the animals, in the garden, in the basement gym 6-7am, etc. You are welcome to hang out with us if you’d like. We love to show people around and sometimes my husband’s offers tractor rides for the kids (w/parent permission). WARNING: there is 1 bee hive (honey bees) on the property, located in the pasture, behind the electric fence. You will see it on your right side of the driveway as you approach the main house. All guests should stay at least 30ft away from the bee hive without protective gear. Note: main house and cabin are a safe distance from bee hive. We supply: Outlets for charging your devices, lighting, air conditioning unit, etc. Small hand held vacuum (next to bed) One time use fire extinguisher (next to bed) Folding lap top table (next to bed) Disinfecting spray (next to bed) Keurig for coffee or tea (some k-pods) Toaster oven Full bathroom and toiletries (for your private use) Seasonally appropriate bedding and towels Flash light Umbrella Books for your entertainment (inside the cabin) Blankets for chilly evenings available upon request Space in the refrigerator (across from your private bathroom) Drinking water (by coffee/tea bar) Electric blanket (under bed) Cooler (upon request) Please bring: Food, drinks, ice, and cooler if you desire Clothing appropriate for the weather Eating utensils, plates, cups Napkins/paper towels Extra seating/folding camp chairs, folding table for extra table space Bug spray Whether you seek relaxation or exploration, our tiny cabin offers the perfect home base for your getaway.
