Hidden Treasures Farm is a coconut farm nestled in the hills of rural comfort in St Thomas. If you need to clear your head from all the stresses of city life, people, problems; if you simply seek some level of solitude to regain your sanity, then this is the place for you! This is a farm, so there’s lots of green space you can sunbathe all day! You can wet your feet, relax by the stream on the property, read a book or just be and enjoy nature. What makes this space special is that the house is located in a valley of sorts, which is not populated, so you are surrounded by lots of trees, hills and there's a stream that runs through the property. You will be off the grid! There are many species of birds you may see around especially the national bird - The red-billed streamertail, also known as the doctor bird, scissor-tail or scissors tail hummingbird which is indigenous to Jamaica. The farm is very laid back and relaxing as there are various spots to chill.. .whether on the lawn to sunbathe or to star gaze, or just chilling in the swing. You can also relax and meditate at different spots by the stream, you can walk up & down the hill for exercise, or explore to the big rock that looks like a shallow cave. You can even go walking through the stream if you don't mind getting wet. Since you'd pretty much have the place to yourself, you can even scream to de-stress as well. Our caretaker Randy won't mind. He'll be happy you are there for the company. Though he's no trained chef, he may even cook for you if you like. Coconut water and sugarcane every day if you are kind-natured :-). He'll accompany you as your local tour guide of you so desire. You can pick fruits in season, and eat food from the farm if available at no extra cost. You can also help him plant on the farm. Get off the grid and come live some rural life and all that it entails! It will humble you, appreciate the simple things in life & point you back to the real hidden treasure... which is within you. Everywhere... except the storerooms. All the guests have to do is tell us what their needs are and we will facilitate. We will be minimum, medium or highly interactive depending on the guests' request. People tend to speak louder in these rural parts, so you might hear them now and then passing on the road. We can arrange pickup for at an additional cost of US$100 for a car from the airport, as you have less than a 1 1/2 hour journey ahead of you to the lovely lush green parish of St Thomas. Your driver is willing to make any stops en route for photos, food or rest stops. Back to the airport is another $100. Once you get to St Thomas, and also depending on the time you get in, our caretaker will assist you with an orientation on how to get around via buses & route taxis... if you are not renting a car. Only continental breakfast will be provided. A proper Jamaican Breakfast comes at a cost. We have a water tank and also clean buckets of water will always be available for our guests to have a bath as us locals do in the rural parts.
