Caribou Lodge Alaska - Cabin 1

A completely off-grid and remote fly-in wilderness lodge near Denali National Park and above treeline in the Talkeetna Mountains. An all-inclusive (minus alcohol) lodge that offers day hikes, canoeing, kayaking, camping, as well as wildlife & northern lights viewing opportunities. A showerhouse and 2 classic outhouses are shared by all guests. A round-trip flight in a float-plane to our lodge and then back to Talkeetna is $370.00 based on passenger and luggage weight of approximately 700 lbs. The space We are more than just a bed & breakfast. When you stay at our all-inclusive lodge and enjoy your own personal, cozy cabin you truly experience the Alaska wilderness and get away from the crowds of other people swarming Anchorage, and other touristy areas. You will have guided day hikes, access to the kayaks and canoe, a chance to see wildlife and Denali, the tallest mountain in North America. We own the only property around the lake or in the whole surrounding area. Guest access Guests have access to their own private cabin, the living room and dining room of the main lodge, and the boathouse where the kayaks and canoe are located. All guests take turns using the one large showerhouse (with locking door) and the two classic, rustic outhouses. Guests are welcome to hike on their own, but being in bear country it may be better to always hike with one of us as your guide. Other things to note - There is no indoor plumbing in the cabins. The shower house has plumbing with plenty of hot water for that long shower after a long day of hiking, and there are two outhouses on the grounds. - The flight costs are NOT included in the price of the stay. We recommend flying in from Talkeetna and a float plane is $370 round trip. A helicopter is $650 round trip. Flying in from Anchorage is about a 1 hour flight, and costs around $1500 round-trip depending on what float-plane is needed.
