This log cabin has been the family guest cabin of the owners for the past 15 years. Now with recent improvements it is ready to be a part of your Alaskan experience. You can explore the region around Denali National Park and return here to enjoy comfort and privacy. Large windows look out into the old growth boreal forest and at a 6000' unnamed peak in the Alaska Range we call Nation Peak. The space The cabin is 450 square feet, including the entry way and bathroom. Maximum occupancy is two people. There is very limited cell phone reception, although you can utilize the high speed internet for Wifi calling. The kitchen was updated in 2020. There is a microwave, 2 burner conduction electric stove, fridge with freezer, and everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals. The price of the cabin includes a 7.5% bed tax which the owner pays to the local Denali Borough government. Unfortunately, we have recently experienced the death of our most of our trees due to a spruce beetle infestation. Absolutely no outside fires are allowed due to high fire danger. Guest access We are 214 miles north of Anchorage and 144 miles south of Fairbanks. Cantwell is 4 miles to the south, with very limited services. The entrance to Denali National Park is 24 miles to the north. The town of Healy is 35 miles to the north, with a full service grocery store and other year round services. Other things to note DENALI BOROUGH OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX: The owner pays a 7.5% bed tax to the local government. AIRBNB has agreements with larger cities to collect the bed tax directly from the customer when making a reservation, however, for smaller municipalities like the Denali Borough, the owner must pay the bed tax separately out of their nightly rental rate. Please be advised that the nightly rate you pay includes this 7.5% tax.
