Nestled in a mountain side, the cottage is surrounded by waterfalls and stunning countryside with rolling hills to the east and mountains to the West. you can hike straight from the door up into the mountains (no busy roads) or you can just sit back and enjoy the beautiful views and relax. It's also an Ideal base for the Ring of Kerry and the Beara peninsula. There's a 7kw EV Charging point and payment is per KWh used. Please note the property is unsuitable for babies, infants or children. The space The centuries old detached stone cottage which formed part of an old settlement and lies next to the owners house but is very private. It has its own entrance and is extremely picturesque and tranquil and lies within an area of protected oustanding natural beauty unchanged for thousands of years. It really is a step back in time, There are no busy roads, the track leading to it is 4kms long ! The Bedroom is on the ground floor with living accommodation above. There is a kitchenette with a Convection / Microwave oven, Toaster & Kettle and utensils etc and a living area with a double sofa where you can sit and gaze out at the stunning views of the mountains and waterfalls from the Arched chapel window. There is a private bathroom with toilet, shower, and basin with unlimited hot water which is fed by a natural spring. There is an outside patio area with table and chairs to use. There is a 7kw type 2 EV Charger that can be used, payment is per KWh used to be paid directly to the owner. Please note the property is unsuitable for babies, infants or children. Guest access Guests have their own private access to the property. Private parking is in front of the owners property where indicated. and EV charging is at the side entrance of the owners property. Other things to note There are a few restaurants and a pubs just a short drive away including The well known Helens bar in Kilmackillogue offering the kindest of Irish hospitality, Josies Seafood Restaurant overlooking beautiful Glanmore lake to name a few. The cottage is well located to explore the Beara peninsula and all its hidden coves and stunning views, The Healy pass with its stunning views, Dursey Island. gleninchaquin park, & Garinish Island in Glengarriff to name a few. For grocery shopping, the popular picturesque town of Kenmare with its pretty boutiques and cafes and Castletownbere with its busy fishing port are approximately 30 minutes drive away are within easy reach and Killarney the gateway to the national park and its jaunting cars is about 46km. There is a shared 7kw type 2 EV Charger that can be used by guests, payment is per KWh used, and is to be paid directly to the owner. just to keep that range anxiety in check.
