Set in a stunning peaceful location, Marthas Studio is a self-contained mezzanine accommodation. 15 minutes walk to Sneem with all of its amenities. The mezzanine level offers a super king bed, which can be adapted to 2 large twin beds; plus a small single bed. Open plan downstairs with well equipped kitchen, diner & sitting room , fridge, cooker, microwave, TV. Shower room & toilet are downstairs, together with cupboard space for clothing. Ideal for couples looking for peace and tranquility, with you own outdoor seating area and not overlooked by the main house. Perfect location for walkers, cyclists, golfers, bird watchers and artists. On the edge of the Gold awarded Kerry International Dark Sky Reserve. If star gazing is your thing you will be coming to the right place; we live in an area free from light pollution and on a clear night have the most amazing vista of the night sky. The property is set on circa 2 acres of land, which is kept and maintained for wild life, with wild areas, dead hedges and large pond full of life such as frogs nets and dragonflies and a babbling brook running at the side of the land. We grown our own veg which we are happy to share with you when in harvest. Guests are always welcome to avail of the herbs we grow. Not suitable for small children due to the large pond in the garden. Additional guests beyond 2 Adults will be charged at €10 per person per night. Easy to walk in to the village and avail of the many services locally. There is now a good bus service from Sneem to Kenmare and Waterville and to Killarney from Kenmare. No pets allowed. Michele provides a welcome hamper on arrival to include home made bread, local free range eggs, milk, butter and preserves. PLEASE ADVISE IF YOU DO NOT REQUIRE THIS AT THE TIME OF BOOKING Guest access This is a self contained property so there are no shared living areas with the owners, Michele and Dave. Martha's Studio is set in circa 1.5 acres, with a large pond. The studio has its own seating area to the front of the property where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views. There is ample on site parking. A CAR IS ESSENTIAL AS PUBLIC TRANSPORT IS LIMITED IN THIS RURAL PART OF IRELAND. On arrival you will find a Welcome pack containing bread and home bakes from Michele, local eggs and fresh milk. Tea and coffee are supplied as standard, together with some basic toiletries and cleaning items to get you started. Some essentials that are included are: Electric oven Iron and Ironing board Kettle and Toaster Hairdryer Towels Microwave TV which includes a DVD player, plus a CD and radio player. There is ample hanging space in the cupboards downstairs for clothing. Small amounts of laundry can be done at the owners house for a small charge. No pets allowed.
