Barbara - Eco Cottage on the Edge of a Rainforest

Comfortable, wooden (studio) cottage on the edge of the rainforest at Animal Farm & Nature Reserve. We are off the beaten track with no vehicular traffic and can be peaceful and quiet, but can also get quite noisy with the sounds of the numerous chickens, guinea fowl and other birds on this working farm. Ideal for the naturalist, bird watcher or anyone wanting to get away from it all for a while - just 30 minutes from Montego Bay, but light-years away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The space The cottage is built high off the ground so that the view from the balcony gives one the feeling of being in the canopy of the trees. Sitting on the balcony is excellent for bird watching - of which there are many types to be seen on the farm. Check out our other listings on our property, Animal Farm & Nature Reserve. Guest access Guests will feel entirely private and secluded in their studio cottage, but have the option of enjoying the facilities in the reception area of the main house. These include Wifi and Cable TV. Snacks will be on sale in our gift/snack shop in this area. Other things to note This is a working farm which is mainly dedicated to the rearing of birds so that guests will be able to hear the cries of various types of birds throughout the day. In addition to the birds, there are other farm animals - pigs, goats, sheep, cow. There are workers who live on the property and others who come in daily for work, so that the guest is never alone. However, the cottage is so located that the guest is able to have their quiet time when needed. In addition, there is a security post close to the cottage and this will be manned 24hrs/day especially for the guest's convenience and any inquiry should be first addressed to this person.
